Simply Saturday

While Friday is family day and usually involves a lot of running around; Saturday is my day to do as I please.

There's always cleaning to do around here, but I also finally put crafting on my list.

I nabbed this napkin while at the Kuwait Textile Arts Association meeting the other nite.

And decided to use it to decorate one of my spraypainted coffee cans. (The hot pad on the right was made and given to me by my Aunt Elaine this summer.)

I also salvaged some of the wrapping paper Traude used to send my giveaway package, and have used it to start making some Fall tags.

Two dishcloths are finished and I've started crocheting something in black. I have a few ideas brewing so need to keep the momentum going.

Hope you are having a beautiful day wherever you are and whatever you are doing. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy...Great job using the napkin on the coffee can. Looks great. Do you shellac it afterward or what? How do you keep the napkin from tearing? Just curious. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday. Susan

Hi, Tammy,
I am glad you have found some time for creating as I know how much you love to create terrific things. Your can that you covered with the napkin goes perfectly with the hot pad holder Elaine gave you, and I love the autumn tags you are making. Love and blessings always~Vicki

How nice to see that you had crafting on the top of your list today. I love seeing all the crafty things that come out of your head. Your coffee cups are TOO cute and the tags are wonderful.
Seems that fall fun is everywhere. We got BOOED last night. About 8PM, our doorbell rings, and there is nothing but a cute little basket filled with goodies sitting out there. I have instructions to BOO two people today. HA! What a wonderful way to be neighborly.
Glad you had a nice, relaxing day. I managed to get a lot of stitching done yesterday too. That is a sign of a good day...

Love ya,
Renee

Tammy, I just got done doing a Tammy-marathon. Got all caught up with your posts! Sorry I have been gone for so long. Isn't it funny when you see something and you immediately think, "what can I do with that?" Love what you did with those cute napkins! Love your post about the chicken! Is she still hanging around? and your crocheted pieces, well, I have been trying to do basic crocheting and it just takes practice, so I love those pieces. and the Taj Mahal, what an unbelievable building, 1632, wow, it is just very impressive. I can't imagine seeing it in person.
Thanks for all the times you come to visit me and all your comments! Hugs and blessings, Lori

You never cease to amaze me with your little projects. I wish I would stop procrastinating and do the few simple things that have been on hold for the longest. I'm sure whoever the lucky person is to recieve your gift filled with some goodies, I'm sure, will be just as impressed.

Hi Tammy!
Ohhhh, I just love those wrapped coffee cans. What a great idea! What wonderful dishcloths. I tried crocheting many many moons ago but somehow never got the hang of it. I see you changed your blog design - I like it a lot. I love the yellow too, so cheery. Have a great week!
Sharon :-)
