Saturday and Sadu colors

I hope everyone has had a great start to their weekend. Our's is winding down now. It's back to school and work tomorrow.

At our Yarn and Fiber Group the other evening, we were asked to think of things we could make using the traditional colors of Sadu weavings.

Between running around yesterday and staying home today, I made a couple of doilies, a little red embellishment, scarf, coin purse, and a bookmark.

The only real direction in all of this was the color scheme. It seems the Yarn and Fiber Group would actually like to sell some things in the gift shop and also make bags and small items for the bazaar to be held the end of November, so I need to start thinking along those lines. Handmade items that depict a bit of local culture and scenes are usually what sell best, so I have some ideas. The above items were quick and easy and just for fun.

Why oh why do weekends just go by way too fast? Friendship blessings, Tammy

Beautiful colors for sure Tammy. I love those woven things. My mom did a yard stick holder one time with that. For sure week-ends are too short.

Such pretty pieces that you made...love the red/black. And the inspiration for your crochet items is so pretty. I bet your Yarn & Fiber group is amazingly inspirational.
Have you made any more buttons? I need to find the rings so I can whip some up!
Great post my friend!

The weaving is absolutely beautiful as is all your crocheting. My goodness you certainly must crochet fast with all you've gotten done. The weekends do seem to fly by. How can we make them last longer? If you figure it how please do let me know ... lol. Best to you.

If you got this much crocheting done today, it means that you had a nice, relaxing day. That is always a good thing. Your creations are so lovely to look at. I am sure you could put together a nice amount of things to sell at the bazaar. Learning to crochet is still on my list of things to do...
Glad you had such a nice Saturday!!

Love ya,
Renee

"Why do weekends just go by way too fast?" INDEED. It's the question I say every Sunday and my suggestion is that weekends be 4 days long, that way I could use 2 days for household chores that I never have time for on the workdays and 2 days for rest. Sounds good to me. ☺

All of your creations are lovely. Hope you have a blessed week,
Linda
