Corbin, Kentucky

During our road trip we made a pit stop at the site of Col Sanders first cafe.

Filled with artifacts and memorabilia from the early days of KFC.

As it appeared in the 1940's.

Me and the Colonel.

Spreading good will.

It is now a museum on the National Register of Historical Places.

Hope you are having a great day! Peace & blessings, Tammy

It must have been so interesting to go in! I think it's wonderful that they keep these places that change in some way or another the world we are today. The first KFC opened in Guatemala this year (or was it at the end of 2009?) and though I haven't been there (no meat eater) it was great to have some history behind it with this wonderful post. Thanks for sharing!!
have a great day!

Hi T! You are certainly
having more fun than I
am this week...I should
be donning a chauffeur's
cap as it seems I am driving
someone, somewhere, all the
time! I'll be on holiday
in a few short weeks and I
can't wait! In the meantime,
I'm enjoying your trip : )

How much fun is that?! I'd love to see the 1940's re-creation of the Colonel's place. It seems you are having a most fun and adventurous time. Love the photo of you two on the bench! Have fun in NYC!!!
