Seems Like Spring

Weather is warming up and more walks are being taken.
At one point I noticed a flying insect that rose straight up in the air and then flew forward, sort of like how a helicopter would take off.  Hadn't seen anything like that before; and just a short time later, while kneeling down to take photos at a different spot along the walking path, something tumbled out of the leaves and I realized it was a wasp trying to carry a bee.

Once it was able to get a good grip on the bee, the wasp rose straight up and then shot forward, heading back to its nest with is prey -- so there was the answer to my wondering what it was I had just previously seen.
It was certainly very interesting to witness.
Just before take-off.
May your day be filled with sunshine and surprises.

That is something to witness! Nature is harsh, at times.

I hope you have a fabulous lens and were standing very far away from that insect!

That's something I have never seen - and you got great snaps, too! Love the cheery flowers. I need more flowers this year, and today I've started the annual seed inventory in preparation for ordering for the 2026 gardens.

I know it's the circle of life, but I always hate to see it myself. Whenever I see a daisy I think about my sweet mother-in-law. They were her favorite flowers. We have no flowers here right now. We got 9 1/2 inches of snow on Thursday after virtually nothing all winter so far. Just when we were planning our first camping trip.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Lovely, I always wonder why so many of the spring's early flowers are yellow, they are the most sunny I suppose.

Hi Tammy, it's terrible what's happening right now. May all the wars in the world end soon. It's absolutely disgusting what the world looks like today. The greatest of all is love, blessings.

I emailed you but thought I would leave a message here too. I’m concerned about you, my friend. Just wanting to know that you’re all right with everything happening in the Middle East and around Kuwait. You are in my prayers. Blessings and love,
Betsy

I love how you always notice the little details along your walks.
Hoping you’re safe and well over there — sending sunshine and good thoughts your way.

Yes, that's how it is in nature, natural complete food chains prevail, everyone eats something. Plants are beautiful and animals are interesting, but in nature there is war and everyone hunts, seeks or lures someone for food. If man is also a natural being, then he cannot be any different.
