My morning mug.
Harvested some tomatoes from my balcony garden today.
That's an eggplant in the back on the lower right.
And the cutest little watermelon is very slowly growing on my second balcony.
I made a cross-stitch gift for a friend whose birthday was last month, stitching tatreez designs representing foods.
The top design is a pattern used as a divider or border on a thobe (dress) in all areas of Palestine; the next design represents maya w bizr (water and seeds from Gaza); then bateekh (watermelon, all areas); and the last two are dhurah (ears of corn, all areas).
Did you know that when the United Nations tried to declare food as a human right, there were only 2 countries that voted against it?

I like your mug and the cross stitch is beautiful. I didn't know that about the UN.
Blessings,

I can just bet my country voted against food as a basic human right. I am so embarrassed and devastated.
Your tomatoes are lovely. I ❤️ love the mug. Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada 😊 ❤️ 🇨🇦
Gorgeous balcony garden harvest! The cross stitch is so beautiful and thanks for the interpretation of the designs!
