Leave a Little Heart

Yesterday my husband and I had a nice lunch out at Souq Sharq Mall.  It was one of the first malls built in Kuwait, but now there's way too many to even count.  We don't go there much anymore, even though it's in a nice location along the seafront, next to the fish market where the wooden fishing dhows are and a marina with all the newer boats.
Weather was beautiful for a walk and to hang hearts for #leavealittleheart, celebrating Valentine's Day with @sweet_sharna on Instagram.
On the 25th and 26th of this month, Kuwait celebrates National and Independence Days, so I crocheted hearts in the colors of the flag.
Flags are flying everywhere this time of year.
Taken from the car window on the way home.
This morning I had my crafting meet-up with Kuwait Crafters.
Made little envelopes with a tag and chocolate for everyone.
And received the cutest little Valentine fortune cookie from Zhraa.
And a handmade clay brooch from Nisrin.
Our meeting was near the sea and I could see lots of yellow blooms from the window so went for a quick walk.
And hung a heart before leaving.
Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart
and not in the mind.
(Lionel Hampton)

Have a lovely weekend!

Dearest Tammy,
Your heart no doubt is brimming with gratitude from numerous fond and warm memories.
So is mine... it gives joy for reliving fond moments.
Loved all the little crocheted gifts, the envelope with heart and chocolate and the cutest fortune cookie - low calorie!
Sending you hugs,

There is so much to love about this post Tammy. The food from your meal out with your husband looks absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed seeing the boats nearby the restaurant and the flowers close to your craft group. You are so kind to hang the hearts everywhere you go. I know that someone out there has found them and feels just a little more warmth and kindness in this mixed up world we live in.
It's always fun to see the beautiful crafts that the ladies make in the group. They are so inspiring to me. The little envelopes, cookies and brooches are fun gifts too! I'm so glad you have them to meet with. I would so love to go with you some Saturday. It's too bad Washington is so far away from Kuwait! :-)
Blessings always,
Betsy

All those sweets look delicious! What lovely sunny photos. I especially love those yellow flowers growing in the sand, the kitties on the waterfront, and all the flags.

Have a great week!

Tammy -your signature photo style is to include your shoes in your pictures, and it makes me smile every time. So many feral kitties - at least they look healthy. I am having my next craft group on Wednesday - some new ladies are coming, and I am looking forward to seeing what they bring! Clearly, there's a lot of love among you and your crafters!!! Enjoy the rest of your week.

Your beautiful crocheted hearts being left out to be found, what a wonderful gesture.

Hi Tammy,
It's always a fascination to see the diversity of projects and skills on display in your crafting group. I always linger over those photographs. I also enjoy your landscape photos. It is an interesting juxtaposition to see modern skyscrapers looming behind the older traditional looking buildings in the foreground.
Have you ever spotted your love hearts in places other than where you left them?
I am sure that they will cheer the way for others in these uncertain times.
Take care and keep crafting!
Jodie xx
