Yesterday I had my last drawing date of 2019 with Aruna at a new French cafe called LeMokaSam,
The cafe just opened in September so is still a quiet spot in the morning.
While we enjoy getting out early, many people prefer afternoon or evening coffee dates.
I usually doodle and add as much color to my pages as I can.
While Aruna is a little more serious with her drawings.
She sketched a photo she saw on Instragram @survivalinternational -- of a young indigenous boy in Brazil with the Uru-EU-wau-wau people who are fighting to save the Amazon from destruction.
The cafe also provides sketchbooks and supplies so that customers can draw and leave messages behind which we did before leaving.
The barista gave us a special blend to try so we said cheers to the new year that is almost here.
Why is it always so hard to believe that yet another year is about to end?
Sending my best wishes to you all!

I had to smile at the first photo with the snowman. It seems so strange to see a snowman in such a warm place. It was like that when we would visit Hawaii in December. All of the Christmas decorations looked out of place.
You and your friends drawings are beautiful. I love the color in yours and the detail in hers. There are so many coffee shops and restaurants there and it's fun to visit them with you and see the different decor.
Wishing you a wonderful end to 2019 and that 2020 is everything you hope it will be.
It will be a strange New Years Eve for me tomorrow. Dennis is flying off early in the morning to see his family. It will be my first New Years Eve to spend alone. Ever. I'm sure it will be very strange but it's important that he have this time with Karen.
Happy New Year Tammy!
Blessings,
Betsy
You are both great artists! I do appreciate her drawing of the boy because I think humans are the hardest to draw but what do I know? Plus, the sentiment of trying to help the environment. I think the younger generation is going to make a difference. After all, it's their world now. Hopefully, when we know better we do better but not always as greed seems to win out much of the time. Here's to a better and happier 2020! I wish only the best to you and your family in 2020! Hugs ~ Sam
What a comfy-looking place! I love seeing paintboxes and sketchbooks and people using them and then sharing their work. Have you heard about the Urban Sketchers groups? Some of my twitter-artist-pals belong to groups and after an outing where they all meet at a planned location and sketch, they lay out their sketchbooks together to enjoy all the various "views" - makes quite an interesting picture!
Dearest Tammy,
That was another perfect Café for getting together for your drawings.
Great work and quite a variety of subjects too.
Love your colorful work, it is as YOU, seeing things from their beauty standpoint by observing the tiny miracles in the details of daily life.
Continue doing so and yes, we can ponder about how fast and how short life actually is.
We won't live to recall 100 New Years... and think about how little that IS.
May we all continue to look for the tiny miracles in the details of daily life - that is PURE HAPPINESS!
Happy 2020 to you and your loved ones.
Hugs,
Mariette
I so enjoy seeing you and your friends different drawings, I love both. Nice of you two to leave art for the next person to enjoy.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Wishing you a blessed and peaceful new year!
Beautiful post Tammy
You find the nicest places to get together with friends-and do art
Happy New Year
Tammy - obviously, I am a bit behind on my blogging! I have made a conscious decision not to make too many New Year's resolutions, but one of them is to improve my drawing, which starts with just doing it MORE! You are an ongoing inspiration to me with this!
