Morning at Magnet

A quick stop this morning at a park I've never been to and then I picked up Aruna for our drawing date.
We enjoyed falafel and avocado toast and then did some quick drawings.
I basically just slapped something on the page loosely based on a photo I took in Sofia, Bulgaria last month, while Aruna had to finish her zentangle heart once she got home.
School traffic has started up again and I try to avoid being stuck in it at all costs.

She surprised me with gifts.
A small macrame wallhanging purchased at a workshop she recently attended.
And the biggest surprise of all was a watercolor that she painted of me based on a photo taken last month at one of our Kuwait Crafters meet-ups.
Awhile back she asked for a picture of Jingles so that's basically what I expected to find.  You can imagine my surprise when I opened the packaging to find me inside.  :)

Happy Tuesday!

Wow.. what a wonderful friend you have there! I am sure you gifted her with some wonderful things, too. That painting is wonderful and I hope that you get it beautifully matted and framed. I'm glad that your nicer weather is on it's way, you'll get to walk more.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Dearest Tammy,
That is a bubbly and happy post full of sunshine moments!
All created with love and that makes it so special and it is not for sale at stores as a mass product.
Oh, that traffic jam, like getting out of Atlanta before 3:00 PM or else you are stuck for hours.
Hugs,
Mariette

Tammy, since I last visited with you I have been traveling, and so have you! Thanks so much for sharing some of the sights you have been seeing. I enjoyed your photos and narratives. I am glad you purchased the cute creature to the delight of the man who sold it to you, and I am glad someone collected the heart you left behind :-) I love seeing crafts amongst you and your friends, and the lovely gifts given to you. Being involved in the creative process is exciting, isn't it? I hope the temperatures are cooler for you. We are getting a little rain here in Oregon today and the first day of Autumn will soon be here. xx

What a lovely gift. The painting of you is SO perfect! I do enjoy hearing about your crafty meet-ups with your friends. I want to find a like-minded group to meet with too. You would think in a city the size of Spokane I could. There is one group that I know of that meets but I don't think I would fit in very well. I visited a couple of times and wasn't made welcome. They are mostly family with a few invited friends. I really don't know why it was made a "public" group because newcomers are not welcomed at all.
Enough of that. I live vicariously through you my friend. YOur avocado toast looks delicious. And I love the little drawing you did.
Blessings,
Betsy

Another fun and crafty morning. Love the sketch your friend did of you! I'd like to find like-minded people to meet with so regularly, too.

Another beautiful account of your crafty coffee stops. Aruna is very talented and generous. Her zentangled heart looks as professional as the designs published in a colouring book. Her drawing of you is superb. What a special gift to have your portrait done. You are lucky to have friends who share your love of drawing, arts and crafts.

Hi Tammy, Makrame years ago when I was in school today I have very different and beautiful things I want to try again. The drawing was fantastic, I would like to have such a talent for drawing, I have tasted falafel for the first time this year and loved it. It is a very good feeling to give as much as a gift. :)
