Art Cafe Kuwait

You may need a cup of coffee or tea (or whatever you prefer) because there's a lot of pictures coming up.

Earlier this month, thanks to my friend Aruna, I discovered a lovely new cafe.
Art Cafe Kuwait is a cafe downstairs and a ceramic painting studio upstairs.
The first time we visited the cafe was during Ramadan, which meant no eating or drinking during daylight hours because of fasting.
So we spent our time exploring and sketching.
A different take on the same inspiration photo.
She's all about detail, and I'm all about color.
The cafe owner displays some of her own artwork.

And even turned some of her paintings into these large window decals which are so lovely with the light shining through.
There are small art exhibitions every few weeks displaying the work of local artists.
It's really such a relaxing and inviting environment to spend quality time with friends.
Aruna is a wonderful artist and is encouraging me to draw more.
I'm sure you can figure out which one is mine (think color!).

Our friend Emina joined us for a short while and we encouraged her to draw something.
She's good at lettering so next time we meet we will get tips on doing that.
Now that Ramadan is over, we are also able to enjoy the goodies that Art Cafe has to offer.
Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.

Have a great week!

Oh my it looks like such a lovely place to spend an afternoon. The artwork is wonderful. You fit right in. Maybe a place you'll come back to time and time again. I love color too. Color makes everything come to life.

Hi Tammy!

This cafe I was really fond of! :)

And your sketches are just great.
I love all the Art of course and I did fell
in love with the glasswindow/painted glass with
the delicious painting with the LotusFlowers on.
And the chairs fit perfectly! <3

What is it that you drink? It looks like a mix
of dessert and a drink/coffedrink...?

Have a wonderful evening.
Greetings Sussie.

Tammy - thanks for giving me an excuse to get another glass of wine! I love everything about this café - the stairs with the tiles and the window decals really stood out to me. The owner has clearly put a lot of art and herself into it. Good for her! Do you plan to do any ceramic painting when you go? That is an activity that my daughter and I really enjoy to do together! Enjoy your week ahead!

Going with a friend to an art cafe like this sounds like a wonderful way to spend some time. I like that she is encouraging you to draw more, too. The cafe owner's murals/windows are gorgeous - that first one with the rooftops really caught my eye. Like you, I tend to colour in my work, too. Drawing more is something on my list of things to do over the summer break. Enjoy the rest of the week!

Beautiful post Tammy
You find the neatest spots to spend time with friends and make crafts or art. This looks like a really lovely place to learn-and I love those dishes too.
I spotted west Yellowstone weather on your page is that where your son is? I love that little town-I stayed at a motel there with a friend last year May when I got to visit Yellowstone Park I loved it there so much. I put their weather on my page too so I could see the difference-it is sooo hot and humid here all this month
enjoy your week hugs Kathy

This cafe is amazing! I wish we had something like that close to my house. There might be something like that in Chicago (50 miles away), but I'm not sure. I should probably do a Google search and then if I find something, make a day of it.

Dearest Tammy,
That is a lovely place for sipping a coffee or tea and upstairs for drawing and learning how to create more and better.
LOVE your colors; such a happy reflection.
Hugs,

Perhaps in the end it was a good thing you couldn’t get food and drink, otherwise you would probably have not spent the time sketching.
