3rd Annual WWKIP Day

Thanks to Mini of Miniz Diary, Kuwait has now participated in its third Worldwide Knit-in-Public Day.
Since 2005, knitters (and now all sorts of crafters) have been gathering on the second Saturday in June with the idea of "Better living through stitching together,"
At our first event, we had 8 in attendance, and this time, I totally lost count.
So much amazing talent and creativity from knitters, crocheters and stitchers.
In fact, I was so busy talking, that I barely did any crocheting at all.  I was distracted by so much inspiration all around.

Thanks again Mini for all your hard work in organizing a very successful event.

Happy crafting,

What a great event. I enjoyed your photos. I had to laugh at your last remark about not getting a lot done. I am that way when I go to quilting retreats...it's so fun to chat and be with others who love your craft.

I like the idea of taking our little "happy" out into the world and spreading warmth and smiles. Great idea.

What a lovely and fun event, Tammy. It's wonderful that so many ladies came and that it wasn't limited to knitters.

What a fun event and so many inspirational different needlework items were being made! I wish we had something like that here. Maybe I should organize one.. but I'm so tired from our trip showing my cousins around all I want to do is rest up. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

It is such a pleasant sight to see so many participating and working with their hands to create amazing projects. Seems like a wonderful way to spend a day. Now if we could just create World Peace...<3

What a fabulous day that must have been - so much creativity going on - colors galore, items of great interest, and I'm sure a lot of wonderful friendships made.

I didn't know about this special day, but it's a great way of getting people in an area together who enjoy knitting, crocheting and sewing. You had a good number come to your event and you've created some interesting collages of some of the participants' work. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for attending the event and I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
WWKIP day holds a special place in my heart as it was when I first met you and Z.

Trust me , I didn't do any knitting either during the event.

Lovely pics.

Well, I missed out because I was camping on the other side of Mt. Hood, but I think I crocheted that day. My daughter forgot to pack any knitting or crochet and I had brought two crochet projects so she put some rows on the preemie blanket I am making. I am glad you were part of the event, Tammy! xx

I always miss this day although I might have knitted outside in the back yard...not sure. What a great event you had and I'm happy to see they included all crafts not just knitting. I'm all about inclusivity...is that a word? LOL!
