Mail Day

I headed out for another hour longer walk after school today.
This month's Full Snow Moon was even bigger and brighter than it was yesterday.
Over in the next block is this cute Letter Box that someone has sitting outside their home.  It's only for decoration since mail isn't actually delivered to homes.  Individuals must get a post office box in order to receive mail.  But it's a neat little accent and something you don't see around here.
When I got back from walking, my husband was home and had snail mail that he had picked up.  Last week when he checked there was nothing, but today was different.  It's always a miracle when anything arrives, so I am very grateful to Kathy, for sending a new year card made from her gorgeous handmade paper.  You can actually see all the petals and seeds that were pressed into the paper.  So pretty!  Thanks so much Kathy for the card and your handwritten note.
And thank you Betsy for your very sweet handmade felt heart and card.  I collect hearts so will be leaving this one out year round to admire.
I also received a Christmas card from my aunt in Ohio.
Better late than never.
Have a great week!

It's always lovely to receive unexpected things in the post isn't it?
I know I was so happy when you took the time to send some to me Tammy and still have all of them.
Your posts are nearly always calming and inspiring, thankyou for that.
Hugs

It looks like a beautiful day! I know you enjoy your walks very much. The handmade paper and the felt heart are very lovely. I suppose you can plant the paper since it contains seeds. Cool!

How nice to receive such pretty items in the mail. :) I would always love to send you something, but I won't try again ever since I did and it never got there.

I see the full snow moon is today here but I didn't see it; I'll have to look tonight but as it's pretty chilly out there, I probably won't mess with my camera for it.

Now that's what I call 'snail mail' Tammy :))))

Your handmade card is so pretty. It would be fun to try making one's own paper. A lady I worked with at a garden center made her own paper and she would gather up the blooms that fell from the plants to take home with her.

I noticed the mailbox had a pony express rider on it. So cool!
sending hugs...

Dearest Tammy,
What precious snail mail you got! Incredible that it takes that long and I cannot imagine that mail is not being delivered to your home in Kuwait.
Enjoy your walks. Here it was too mean and windy today. I love to walk but I have to be so careful when it is cold. Don't want to end up again with a mean bladder infection.
Got way behind things and needed to do lots of administration today and some more tomorrow.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette

So nice to take long walks...sigh. I wish I could right now, I need them.

Your gifts are lovely. I once saw a paper making procedure where they pressed flowers into the mix...so cool! And I love the heart. Bloggers can be such generous friends.

Is the weather cooler there by you? And I'm wondering if I missed a post about your sons visit.

Dearest Tammy,
how beautiful the pictures that you brought from your walk. (Flowers! Sun! Gorgeous! And the special mailbox is indeed a beautiful accessory!) Unfortunately, I cann't go for a walk at the moment - yesterday on the way to work I had a little accident (the right foot twisted in a tram rail and now I have a ligament sprain) ... How beautiful are the cards you got - especially this handmade paper with the seeds is fascinating!
I wish you a nice rest of the week with lovely walks!
Dearest greetings from Austria, Traude

Mail is my favorite part of the day....I hate when the box is empty.

Your aunt's card is very pretty.

that letterbox would make a cute "free library" that people here in the states are putting out in their neighborhoods. You take a book and put in a book.
Betsy did a lovely job on the heart and the handmade paper is gorgeous too. I loved the card from your Aunt as it looked so like the church I went to when I was a little girl.
Enjoy your weather and your walks.
