Weekday Outing and Some Stashbusting

Morning outings any day of the week is one of the benefits of being on Winter Break.  Yesterday a friend and I went for a traditional South Indian breakfast and then strolled around Al Kout enjoying the beautiful weather.
It would seem that my afternoon crochet creations were inspired by the colors I had seen earlier in the day.
While visiting some of the participants in the stash-buster link party at Linda's Crafty Corner, I came across this easy crochet gift bag pattern from Marianna's Lazy Daisy Days.
The size can be easily adjusted to whatever you may gifting and unlike the gift bags I usually make, there's no sewing up of sides as this pattern is worked in the rounds.  I will definitely be making many, many more of these in all different sizes for all different reasons.
.
Happy Holidays,

How fun that your newly crocheted bags are reflected by the colors in your morning walk photos. The weather looks perfectly delightful...not at all like your days of sand storms. Wonderful way to begin your day dear.

Glad you're getting a break and your weather is beautiful. It's cold and gloomy and rainy here and has been for weeks. Merry Christmas to you and your family although I don't think they celebrate but the feelings are the same no matter what time of year or what religion. Enjoy your "break"!
The little bags are darling!

Sounds like a lovely outing, and those boats are so elegant! Is there a name I can google to learn more about that style of boat?
I love your crochet bags, and the little brown one with the green top reminds me of a pineapple :)

Days spent exactly how you like = ahhh, the joys of Christmas/Winter break! :)

I, on the other hand, barely ever leave the house during these 2 weeks. I was really wishing for some snow for Christmas for some lovely photo opps but it didn't happen, instead we have really warm (for this time of year) weather and sunshine now for 2 days - the grass is still green and growing. Crazy for December. But I might get out for a little bit with Jim today for a little hike to try out my new wide-angle lens.

Sarah works throughout Christmas break, because she works at a bank, so other than her - I don't really hang around with friends. I have a couple of girlfriends, but we never really do anything - my time, by choice, is spent entirely with Jim and Sarah pretty much. Thus, I'm a hermit, lol.

Hope you enjoyed a great Christmas!
Linda
