Beach Weather

While we were in Dubai, the weather was absolutely gorgeous with very mild temperatures.  Perfect for walking and outdoor dining but you would not find me sitting beside the pool or beach in a bathing suit.  Weather is relative.  I was still dressed warmly while Europeans who had left the snow and cold were only too happy to shed their woolly clothing.  My kids say I have been living in Kuwait far too long.  Anything below 70 degrees to me is chilly,

Here in Kuwait, daytime temperatures are in the mid-70's.  Perfect for walking along the beach which is just what I did yesterday, collecting sea treasures along the way.
And then I doodled my collection once I was back at home.
A very relaxing way to spend the day.
I love Winter Break!
Best wishes,

70 degrees, yikes I would have had a sweater on! I am with you, no shedding the clothes here for that temperature.
Hugs and love your treasures.

I love your sea treasures, we could do well finding sea glass and shells. Painting your collection is a great way to retain those wonderful memories..
So glad you are enjoying your time off!,

Yes, very relaxing...it has been unseasonably warm here on the east coast, no snow as yet...

Hi Tammy! Happy New Year to you! Dubai looks like a gorgeous place to visit. Do you have Christmas decorations in Kuwait, like they do in Dubai?

Holidays are winding down here and that's fine with me. Did a lot of entertaining and will be glad when decorations are down and packed away (not yet though. Still have a few more gatherings this week. ha)

Such beautiful photos and artwork, Tammy! I'm so glad you are enjoying your break. I'm hoping to go swimming at the indoor pool today. It is a wintery 34degrees outside here.....brrrrrrr :-) xx

Sounds wonderful Tammy, I enjoyed my stay in Dubai when I went too but it was a few years ago now. That temperature is just right for me I hate it being too hot although it would have to be a little warmer for me to shed any clothing thats for sure. All the very best for 2015. :) xx

I love your painting and treasures!
And it's hard for me to even imagine 70F at the moment, but I'm sure it will all come back to me in about 7 months. ;)

Wonderful relaxing get-away. You are braver than me at 70 degrees...I am cold with anything under 80 degrees.
Fabulous Doodles of your finds. Beach Blessings...

What a fabulous place to visit and I was super impressed with the things you found on the beach. Beach glass is such a treasure, and also that old pottery... I wonder how old that is? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I think I would be one shedding my clothes and wearing a sundress with temperatures in the 70's. It's 14F outside right now and that is to be our high today. -4F is forecast for tonight! I think you would have several snowsuits on! I can just see you and Meredith now. :-)

Love your doodles and the happy pictures of your day. It looks wonderful to me. It's my dream to live somewhere with NO SNOW or temps below 60.
Blessings,
Betsy

Lovely pictures, Tammy :-) Glad you're enjoying your break. I'm cold blooded, too; anything below 75 is chilly to me.

I was hoping you would share your treasures. What a cool idea to doodle them! Happy New Year a Tammy!

Dearest Tammy,
Well, you are so right about those temperatures; we get spoiled after all but for our own sanity it is safer NOT to be at the beach when it's not around 30°C!
Lovely photos and I like all the little treasures you found and did draw...
Hugs,
Mariette

Beautiful sea treasures.

I had to smile about your comments re. the climate, when I visit Jordan, usually in the springtime, folks are all bundled up against the "cold" whilst I am happily soaking up the warmth!

You're so talented, Tammy. Those 'doodles' are something that I would love to be able to create. They're lovely. I envy you your weather. Nothing more wonderfully than walking on the beach, collecting treasures!

Beautiful marine treasures, Tammy. Having lived in Greece for the past 25 years, I can relate re: the weather and my family in Canada can't believe my intolerance for chilly temps when I visit my hometown in the winter!

Wishing you a very Happy 2015! May it be filled with good health, happiness and love.

Hi Tammy,
I really love the way you sketched your shells - very talented! : )

Yes, I think you're definitely accustomed to heat, weather wise, lol. 60 degrees+ feels like shorts weather to me. It's 24 degrees here presently, and we've walked twice this week in cold temps but to us, it's a lot more mild than it usually is here at this time of year. That's coming to an end though this week with below zero temps returning. When my sister and I were on our hike yesterday we both remarked that we much rather enjoy hiking during the winter months, when you can simply bundle up and enjoy the cold temps.

Happy New Year!

Linda

70's is perfect for walking or just about anything except swimming. What treasures you got from your walk and then to paint them? You are really an artist!
