An Absolutely Gorgeous Day

Such beautiful blue skies.
And perfect walking weather.
63 F this afternoon.  That's 17 C.
I noticed when hubby and I were walking that there was a whole lot of bird activity going on.
When we got back, I watered plants on the balcony and next thing I know, we had all sorts of visitors.
It seems petunias make mighty fine food for little sparrows.
I was taking pictures through a tinted window which accounts for the different shades but I'm so happy with how these photos turned out.  I just love watching these little birdies flit about.
For those who are experiencing bitter cold or rain, I send warm hugs and wishes your way.  Thanks for stopping by!

That is a perfect day, my kind of temps with sunny skies. That is cute-the little bird eating petunias-I have never caught that before-lol gonna keep a look out next summer.
Fresh pecan halves are just the best- Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family

Dearest Tammy,
Looks very inviting for walks and you can enjoy them now!
Bird noises make one always happy and watching them even more so. This week I did bring home another, bigger and heavier bird bath that is sitting right in front of our bay window in the kitchen. The joy of watching those birds while having our meals or coffee/tea is tremendous.
We do have a very warm spell right now with 78.8°F or 26°C. Pieter is working outside on a retainer wall between us and the neighbors for diverting the rain water. We never ever want to have a disaster like in February and August when the ground water comes up into the basement. So diverting it is the best we can do! We live in a hilly area and from across the street and from the neighbors water comes running down the hill to us... Now it has to stay behind the wall.
Hard work but come Christmas that job will be tackled and we once again can start walking together!
Hugs and enjoy your precious time with four.
Mariette

It's so nice to be reminded that warmth will return again - one day! It was sunny here today but with a sharp wind - not bad though for the first day of winter. Love your little birdies - they always lift my spirits x Jane

That is a lovely temperature for walking. Our temps are expected to hit 33°C/91.5°F today. I adore all those birdy photos!! I too love seeing the birds flitting around. I was only thinking to myself this morning that I'd like to get a bird bath soon. I helped a frightened baby bird this morning too and will post about it on my blog in the coming days. Enjoy the weekend! xo

Hi Tammy, I love the pictures! Those birds are so sweet! Yes, we've had lots of cold and snow the past week or two, but this weekend we get a reprieve-40-55, with some rain. It's
good to get out and take a ride with my best friend on a great day like today. I love hearing about your walks and trips and great restaurants! Happy Christmas to you!
Hugs,
Sherry

Just stopping by to wish you a Merry Christmas and see what you've been up to. I cant believe how good your weather is. My husband and I took the dogs out for a walk a little while ago and we had to turn back because of hailstone. It must be good to have your son home for the holidays. Colorado is so beautiful though I bet he'll be glad to go back.
Merry Christmas to you!

The birdies look so cute. Pretty pics. Because the sparrow numbers are dwindling, we have lot of projects going on in the city to save the sparrow.

Oh, really wonderful pictures, dearest Tammy - blue skies, Birds and 17 degrees Celsius sounds great! Here it is cold and grey (but without any snow for Christmas) and I really would prefer to be on a place in Kuwait now or may be in India again ;o)) Thank you for your nice words about our trip - it's true, we really saw a lot and some times it was a bit taxing, but we had relaxing times, too (on the house boat and on the beach - we LOVED it!) Hope you can manage it soon to visit your friends in India!

I hope you had a happy holiday and are enjoying your Christmas break. Isn't that cool how you can take pictures right through the window? I was amazed at how good they come out too. It's the only way to catch pictures of our feathered friends. It has been unseasonable cold here but it's starting to warm back up.
Enjoy your time off!
