Starting the Day With a Friend

Today the dust decided to return just enough to make for very hazy skies.
I had breakfast with my friend, Leslie, at Le Pain Quotidien
Where coffee is served in bowls instead of mugs.
French toast with fruit for me and a farmhouse frittata for her.
I've taken all photos with my new iPhone (bought for me by my husband several weeks ago), but the quality is not what I thought it would be.  I definitely will continue using my camera for picture taking rather than relying on it.
This is beautiful Chloe -- she was one of my rescues and has lived the past couple of years with Leslie and her family.
She is definitely one very lucky kitty.

Best wishes for a wonderful Wednesday!

Ok, I am so jealous! That place looks wonderful....well, the dust part probably isn't all that cool, but the rest of it is.

Awww Chloe is adorable. Love that sweet little face. I also adore Jingles...who cracks me up with the bird watching.

Does your friend crochet/knit? I was thinking it would be such a blast to have breakfast there, then crochet/knit for a while.

Blessings always

So fun to have breakfast with your friends. I'm meeting blogging friends Tact, Teresa and Gracie for lunch today in Portland. Always a good time. Your Chloe looks as as sweet as mine.
Blessings,
Betsy

Looks like a lovely day breakfasting with a friend.

I agree with you on the iPhone photos I got one before Christmas and love it but would rather have my camera in hand.

I am so glad he bought you one! :) Yes I love to use my camera better too but my camera doesn't fit in my pocket so nicely :)

Have you played around with Instagram yet? You are gonna have some fun! :)

Love the skyline pic even if it is a bit dusty :) I always love seeing your world!

Looks like a yummy and fun breakfast with your friend.

My husband got an iphone and it took ok pictures until he got a picture app. Now, it takes great pictures and he loves it. I'll have to ask him the name of it and let you know. I think the app was free too.

Beginning your day with friendship and food is a good way to start smiling and keep smiling. I agree these photos are not like your camera photos. Less dust and more sunshine...

Nice to be out with a friend, because I was out today with a friend also. :)
Shopping for plants to add to the garden.
I like my camera over my phone camera too.
Looks like you had a good time, even though it got hazy. We are hazy now too, as a front just hit.

They're nice photos nonetheless and the special moments are still captured. I'm hanging out for the Samsung Galaxy S4...it has a 13 megapixel camera. My son has the Samsung Galaxy S3 and it takes great photos. I'm hoping I can leave my camera at home then.

I've heard of tea being served in a bowl so why not coffee although I've never had either served to me in a bowl before.

Chloe is adorable! I'm glad she ended up with Leslie and her family too. She is obviously well loved.

Enjoy the rest of your week ~ xo

Your breakfast looks delicious, or maybe that is just because I haven't made mine yet?
Lovely setting. Pretty kitty, she sure looks like she appreciates being rescued.

Oh that breakfast looks good, and makes me crave French toast. What a lovely name for a restaurant.

Lucky Chloe - I'll bet she's the queen of the house. :)

Coffee served in bowls sounds really fun for some reason. I've never seen that before. Looks like you had a nice morning with your friend :) Chloe is so cute!

We had a dust storm today and it was AWFUL. I thought of you --- and sympathized.

What a lovely friend you have and such a delicious breakfast!

I wonder if there is a setting change that would help you out with iPhone pictures? I had trouble with mine until my boys helped me with a setting change. Now-a-days my Canon mostly sits in the camera bag and I'm doing 99% of my photography from my iPhone.

I hope you have BLUE SKIES tomorrow (today).

I'm glad your weather is better than it was during that dust storm! We're so damp here all we do is grow moss and rust. My mom made the BEST French toast, and I made it for my kids a LOT. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Hi Tammy! That looks like a really nice place to eat, and the food looks yummy! What a lovely kitty too! I don't usually post photos from my iPhone on my blog, but I think I can get some cool shots from it sometimes. I really like posting things in Instagram with my iPhone, have you tried it? ...more funky, weird stuff. I really like my iPhone.
