Enjoy the Scenery

Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.
Eddie Cantor

We have had perfect walking weather the past couple of days so I've been able to get out there and explore.  I like taking different routes, seeing different sights, pretending I am on an adventure.
Most of Kuwait is pretty drab and littered with trash, so it is nice to be able to find those little green spaces where beauty is nurtured.

I especially liked seeing this bike decorating someone's front yard and the mailbox to the side with its little red flag up.  Regular mail is not actually delivered to homes here.  In order to receive mail, you have to get a post office box.
Unfortunately towards the end of today's walk, I was sending out an SOS.
Note to self:  wear thicker socks.

Have a great week!

Tammy you did find some nice spots. Love the bike and flowers. We do not have much color here yet. I only have Pansies out as it is still a little chilly here. Got my geraniums in the house ready to go out.

Oh I love the bike garden! So clever and cute! Glad you are able to get out and walk. We have a stiff cold wind today. Only 44 degrees. Brrrr.
Have a great day! Kit

Lovely pictures, Tammy! They must be quite a contrast to the littered streets. Interesting that people must have a post office box to be able to receive mail. I don't think I'd like that much.

Gosh Tammy. I wouldn't have thought there was a lot of trash in Kuwait. Thought it would be kind of a spanking clean place.

Glad you are getting out to walk. I went on one myself today. There was golden sunshine and beautiful cool temps. Lovely! Took my little grandbaby in the carriage. Susan

I also was under the mistaken impression that Kuwait was beautifully clean. I loved your pictures though and the beauty that they hold. The bike and garden was especially pretty.

Seems so many places have a litter problem, including here in certain places. I search out beauty and focus on that, as you do.
I loved the bike in the garden. From the looks of those photos, we have many of the same plants. The yellow one in the second photo, we call esperanza. Sooo pretty.

Dearest Tammy,
Sad to read that Kuwait is mainly littered with trash. Why can't people change?!
Also the fact that mail is actually not being delivered to the homes... WHY? Most any country does so. It makes you miss such service when it is lacking from daily life.
The SOS ending is great and wearing thicker socks...
Hugs to you,
Mariette
