A Stash Busting Confession

It all started several days ago when I came across Jennifer's free crochet pattern for kitchen lovelies. I made the first two and had to scrounge for yarn to do so.
I enjoyed making them so much, that I made two more.
Then yesterday the urge hit me.  I wanted to buy more Punto yarn so I could make more and more and more kitchen lovelies.
Unfortunately, there was no Punto yarn to be found.
I think the Stash Busters were watching over me.
So I took that as a sign to go home and gather all the yarn I could.
I dug deep and found all this stash to work with.
I will have to get creative with my color combinations.
Something I  never feel I am very good at.
But I am ready to take on the challenge.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Simple and lovely pattern! I too do not have color confidence. But I am trying to improve. I can see your progress as some of the combinations are very good :)

Tammy , I like so much the way that you combine the colors and the speed that you make all these !!!How many hours you need for one of these ???

Cute! I think you did great with the combos. I use a color wheel a lot when I'm mixing colors and I'm unsure how I want to do it. It just sort of helps me move in the right direction. But I think all colors go together...just look at nature. Hugs to you.

Tammy these are gorgeous little bursts of colour to cheer up a kitchen! The nice thing about the circles is that the different colours are carried around the entire piece, so it's all tied together. These are all so nice with the soft shades ;) Wendy

Good for you for using your stash yarn. The kitchen lovelies look pretty - the color combinations are done well. :)

Lovely, interesting photos, Tammy. :)

I totally agree with that quote - I think most people rush all the time, needlessly. I've found that going slowly, taking note of the intricate beauty of life (that can only be observed at a slow pace), is the way for me!!

Hope you're enjoying a great new week.

Honestly Tammy, I don't know how you have the talent to do those! Incredible. I could never just look and then crochet. Great job.

Thanks for all your faithful visits to my blog, too. Susan

I can see you are up for the challenge, Tammy. They are all so pretty. I must admit to LOVING the first ones the best, but then I am partial to those colors. :)
I don't knit or crochet, but I recently needed to buy yarn for a little project I was doing. I was amazed at all of the gorgeous choices that are available. It almost made me want to learn how.

Hello Dear Tammy
These are really sweet! You do have the stash of beauties don't you?
I so wish I knew how to knit. Years ago when the kids were babies I did crochet but have forgotten what I knew.
I love yarn and just found out that there is a huge old building half way between where I live and Austin where a couple turned it into a huge store of yarn.
Even though I don't know how to use these yarns I am stopping my next trip to Austin and browse the store. Maybe they teach classes.
Hope your well and taking care of yourself.
Sorry I a bad blogging friend. My days of blogging have been few these last six months.
The weather is wonderful today so I am off of the computer and on to mowing. lol
Love
Maggie

Oh I love these Tammy! I think the colors you are using are mixing well! Yes, I'm the same way...I have way too much yarn already, and I went out yesterday to buy some more...what's wrong with me? I love working in the round too. I'm trying to crochet a simple dishcloth now, and I keep dropping stitches or something...I can't figure it out! Have a good day!

I think you do great with color, sometimes having to pick from a limited selection makes you try things you never knew you would.
Love all of them.

Very good idea for stash-busting and an even better idea for you to try your creative side with color combos :) I did a similar thing only I got a little carried away with flowers.

What will you do with kitchen lovelies? Im not really sure what they are.
