Thankful Thursday

The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; but the thankful heart will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings.-- Henry Ward Beecher

It's the weekend! And I plan to rest as much as I can.

Today I didn't have that stabbing pain that I've had the past several days in my ankle. Walking was easier, though my ankle still feels tight, sore, tired. I appreciate all your well wishes.

Every time we remember to say "thank you", we experience nothing less than heaven on earth.
-- Sarah Ban Breathnach

Our first real rain shower of the season came through about 4 am this morning.

Flowers are still blooming.

The house is quiet as all the boys have gone off with friends.

Another day is done.

Quiet time for me.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Glad you are finding time to relax. :) Take care.

No flowers blooming anymore here - High of 41 today, but looks like 60s are back in the forecast for the weekend/next week. It's always weather-drama here in Illinois. :)

Today is my parents' 49th Wedding Anniversary and so we're all going out for dinner with them. Then one more work day tomorrow, followed by going to the opening of Breaking Dawn, Part I (my request of Sarah, Jim and Anthony), and Saturday is my 47th Birthday and there are all sorts of special events going on. :)

Blessings always,
Linda

I'm glad to see you again! I, too, had lost touch with so many folks from the simple pleasures party. I'm glad you saw my little flower cart.

I had to scroll down to see what happened with your ankle, and I'm glad for you that you're getting some relief.

About quiet time with a quiet house? It's one of my favorite things. Of course, I like it when the traveling husband is home even more.

As much as I adore my family....I'd have to say that quiet times are pretty treasured with me. I think and reflect, recharge and create....it fuels me, grounds me, centres me......

I hope you relaxed and enjoyed your time, Tammy!

Love your photos, Tammy. Quiet time is critical for my sanity... lol... though that is a questionable topic. I sure hope you get some good news from the orthopedist. I am so sorry your ankle is bothering you so much. Bummer! {BIG hugs} and blessings ~ tanna
