Tea on Tuesday

A friend who visited Thursday evening gifted me with a bag of loose leaf tea called Arabian Night.

It is a blend of green tea from China; black teas from India, Ceylon and China; natural flavor; sunflower, jasmine and rose blossoms.

I don't normally do loose teas but then remembered my Secret Santa gave me this cup with built in diffuser so I used it for the very first time this morning.

The tea is very light and has a subtle flavor of blossoms. Toast with labaneh, a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of zaatar is a traditional breakfast item on this side of the world.

To complete the Arabian theme, I finished this crocheted pillow last night embellished with cross-stitch. A quick and easy project.

Wishing you all a terrific Tuesday. Peace & blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy,
The tea sounds wonderful. And I don't know what labenah and zaatar is. Is it a type of cheese and spice? It looks good, whatever it is.:)I love your arabian pillow.
Have a great Tuesday.
Blessings,
Sonya

It sure looks like you are enjoying Spring Break. Good for you! Your tea looks wonderful. I was drinking green tea with mango yesterday. Not bad, but the green tea with pineapple and grapefruit is still my favorite!
Your pillow is adorable. Can't wait to see what you craft today!!!

Have a great day, dear!!

I'm off to look up labaneh. I've never been a big hot tea drinker (Earl Grey is about as crazy as I get). Maybe I'll try some. Have a good week. Jan

Hi Tammy...Wow, I would have thought the tea was dark and strong. Was surprised to read it was light and flowery! The rest of the breakfast looks YUMMY. I love yogurt cheese and love zatar and olive oil so that would be a great breakfast for me. Hope your day today is splendid. Here, in New England, it's dark, dreary, and rainy...have to make our own sunshine today! Susan

What a wonderful way to start the day. I love a good tea to start the morning.

Your little pillow is so cute. I'm attempting to get back to some crocheting. My sister gave me an old book with many interesting patterns. Now just to find the time.

Love you pillows. I love to make pillows too.
I enjoy a good cup of tea, but don't use loose tea for the same reason. Have never seen a cup like that, but it is a great idea. Your tea sounds refreshing. I would love to try your toast. Is it spread with a type of cheese. And the spice you mentioned sounds exotic. Thanks for sharing customs from where you live.

Wow! What a name! I was hoping though that the tea came from any Arab country. :D
