Rednesday on a White Wednesday

I spoke too soon yesterday! The dust is back. The white powdery kind that hangs in the air around you. I laughed when I just looked up the weather report: "Light rain. Scattered clouds. Pleasantly warm." We had a few sprinkles but the rain can't get through all the dust and there is nothing pleasant about this kind of weather.

My geraniums were doing well until the dust hit and the heat settled in. Even in this picture you can see how dusty the leaves are. Our temps are in the mid-90's during the day, and mid-80's at night, so the flowers are feeling the heat.

Hot weather calls for cool salads. Cherry tomatoes cut in half with a bit of cilantro, onion and burghul and a dressing of olive oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste. Yum!

Last week I crocheted my first hexagon dishcloth. Hubby went to Dubai on a business trip so the dishcloth was sent as part of a gift package for the wife of his Japanese business associate there.

I think I confused some folks on my post yesterday. We did not just recently go to India. I was "away" 5 days only because of the internet problems. Our trip to India was in September but the tastes and sights are still fresh in our minds. In fact, I just had curry for lunch. Delicious!

I hope the weather is much better where you are and that you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy! I was going to say that our weather wasn't much better but I will take a cold dreary rainy day over a sand storm any day! Your tomato salad looks so good! I hope your weather changes to "pleasant" very soon... xoxo

The dishcloth is lovely. Nothing hot about here... where it's still in the upper 30s at night and 50s for high during the day. Though yesterday, we actually hit 70 in the evening as the Tornado warnings began. Thankfully no really bad damage or injuries. The sky looked very similar at the start as to what you show of the dust, but here - it was Fog and haze.

Hope you have a blessed remainder of Easter week.

Linda

Hi Tammy...came by to catch up!

Your geraniums looks like the flowers along the road into our campground when we have no rain and the dust from the cars gets stirred up!

Hoping you have sunshine soon. We have been gloomy and chilly here for 2 days!

Sorry to hear that the dust is back. Hoping you do have a "pleasant day" soon. Your temps are very similar to our recent weather. But we do cool down a little at night. So far my plants are surviving but it won't be long before extreme heat will scorch them. My climbing rose is lovely this year. Maybe I take photos tomorrow.

Stay safe.

I think your dust is probably as unwelcome as our rain. It rains a LOT here in the north of England! I enjoy seeing all your doilies and things especially the afghans you make, they're gorgeous! Hope you have some settled blue skies soon.

Yum yum on the cool salads! Wow, it sure is hot there. We are having a pleasant spring here in California, I can't imagine the heat you are having. And with dust too! Well, your wonderful dishes are making up for it. Have a great week!

Today is Thursday and this a.m. the sun is shining. We just had a terrible storm on Tuesday night. Trees down and blown up and down the highways. At least no sand. I so enjoy hearing of your life there. Thanks for sharing.

The food looks delicious Tammy. I have cilantro growing right now, but it will soon go to seed as our weather warms up. We don't get sandstorms like that. The closest thing we get are "dust devils" but they pass quickly. It must sometimes feel smothering with heat too.
Have a wonderful Easter!
Blessings,
Marcia

I love Geraniums! I hardly can´t wait til I can have them on my summer-balcony. But we still have frosty nights so I guess it will be in the middle of may... I wish I lived in a warm country! Have a great weekend!

Your weather is not looking nice at all!!! I swear, I just don't remember the weather in Kuwait being like that!! No rain here, just lots of cloud cover and dust. I am not going to complain too much, as the cloud cover keeps the temps down a bit. I Can't believe how hot it is already!!! boo!!
Your salad looks amazing, and the crocheting makes me smile. Glad you are finding time to have good quality "me" time!!!

XOXOXO
Love you!
Renee
