Because of National and Liberation days in Kuwait (the 25th and 26th), Sunday and Monday were also declared holidays. That's why we were able to head to Sri Lanka again. We will get home tonite.
And it is back to school tomorrow. Will be checking in with all of you very soon. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

Are We There Yet?
Whenever we travel, I prepare a cross-stitch kit to carry with me.
Material and thread cut ahead of time; a simple pattern using only one color. It keeps me busy along with the yarn and hooks I take along too.
At the time of this posting, we should already be in Sri Lanka.
This is our second trip as we were here the same time last year. Of course, we will be visiting different places and I will have much to share when we get back. Hope you all are having a great week. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Wednesday Wisdom
Each day, awakening, are we asked to paint the sky blue?
Need we coax the sun to rise
or flowers to bloom?
Need we teach birds to sing, or children to laugh, or lovers to kiss?
No, though we think the world imperfect, it surrounds us each day with its perfections. We are asked only to appreciate them, and to show appreciation by living in peaceful harmony amidst them. The Creator does not ask that we create a perfect world; He asks that we celebrate it. ~Robert Brault,

An Oasis on a Dusty Day
The sun had to work extra hard yesterday.
Even though we had a bit of rain the nite before, the dust has settled in.
Shereen invited me to her place for lunch after school.
A bit of bliss on a day of drear.
Warm tuna salad served on lettuce.
Chocolate espresso cake served with strawberries, grapes and green tea.
And a gift! (My birthday is Saturday)
Shereen handstitched this gorgeous flower on a knubby silk material and had it framed.
A lovely way to end a very frantic morning (traffic was awful) and a busy day. I hope all of you are having a blissful day in your corner of the world. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Sunday morning started off to be a glorious day as beautiful colors spread across the morning sky.
Even the mooon was bright and beautiful at 6:20 am.
Unfortunately, by midafternoon that all changed as dust and clouds settled in. My pajama wearing ways on Saturday meant that I had time to finish a little teacup stitching. The coaster sized doily that I used was purchased from Hobby Lobby many years ago as a set of two for $1.99. I had never used them so figured it was about time. I love projects that can be finished quickly.
A crocheted dishcloth is on the hook. Another quick and easy project.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Best wishes for a beautiful week ahead. Friendship blessings, Tammy

My Day Friday
We had beautiful weather this morning for baseball and Zack's team had yet another win.
Afterwards we headed over to Tang Chao for lunch.
My husband tells me that I've alreay taken a picture of this many times before, but that's okay. I have a thing for blue and white china.
A quite afternoon of stitching and the flowers are complete.
So nice having a three-day weekend. I only have to decide on my next project. And maybe clean a little. But that's tomorrow. It's time now for the sandman to do his thing. Goodnite! Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

Pillow Project
While visiting Sue over at SIBOL (Sunshine International Blankets of Love), I was inspired by a square she received from Margaret in the UK and remembered I had these that were made with leftover cotton yarn.
My wishy-washiness from yesterday resulted in a whole lot of nothing last nite but my project for today was this crocheted pillow.
Next up, a cross-stitch pattern in the same color scheme.
Hope you are having a crafty day, too. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

A day of color and night lights
When dawn arrives with a burst of color ...
blue skies are bound to follow!
After school I prepared little parcels of chocolates for Valentines Day.
And this evening we walked to the Movenpick to meet Mona, her husband and another couple for coffee.
Homes have been decorated for the upcoming National and Liberation Days, February 25th and 26th.
Bright twinkling lights can be found up and down the streets.
How can it be that another day has come to an end?
I hope your day is bright and beautiful in your little corner of the world. Friendship blessings, Tammy

A Perfectly Pleasant Day
Coffee with friends.
A trip to the craft store.
Salmon pizza and salad for lunch.
Time to crochet a Valentine bag and alter a notebook.
Tomorrow will be Mona's last day in Kuwait before heading back to Lebanon. It's been so nice spending time with her again.
Hope everyone is having an extra special day wherever you are and whatever you are doing. Friendship blessings, Tammy
