Quotes and Blooms

If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly,
our whole life would change.
Buddha
People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?
Nhat Hanh

As long as we are persistent in our pursuit of our deepest destiny, we will continue to grow. We cannot choose the day or time when we will fully bloom. It happens in its own time.
Denis Waitley
Surround yourself with people who allow you to blossom.
Effortlessly give your beauty to the world.
Flowers do it all the time.
Sue Krebs
The bloom may be brief,
but the beauty of its existence will last a lifetime.
Doe Zantamata
Where flowers bloom, so does hope.
Lady Bird Johnson
May my soul bloom in love for all existence.
Rudolf Steiner
Over the weekend I did a whole lot of walking.
An hour Thursday, an hour and a half Friday, an hour and 20 minutes Saturday morning, and an hour Saturday afternoon.   I kept noticing brilliant yellow trees across the road from the walking path and wondered what they were since I hadn't recalled seeing them before.  Then I happened to find one just around the block from us.  I posted a picture to Instagram and someone said that it could be yellow wisteria, or in Dutch, golden rain. I'm not sure what it is, but it is absolutely gorgeous and is blooming profusely right now.  I'm not sure if  over the years, I never noticed all the flowers around me, or if people are planting more than ever, but it's so nice to see so many blooms despite the rising heat.
May flowers bloom in all corners of your world.
Blessings,

  2. Oh my goodness T! What gorgeous blooms you encountered on your walks this week. They are amazing! You live in such a beautiful place and I didn't realize how many different things grew there. I was thinking when I was reading your lovely quotes how much our lives would be enriched if we only took these wise people's words to heart. I think I'll start today :)

  4. That is a "Golden Chain" tree - my sister has one and I love them and I always wish I'd get one. All your photos are magnificent and I am always amazed by the tropical flowers that we can only grow inside here in Oregon, USA. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  7. They're beautiful, Tammy. I don't know what they are either but I think we have them here too. Maybe they like dry places. There are pink ones here too, I think. Lovely post with the photos as well as the quotes, very thoughtful.

  8. The tree with the yellow flowers? No kidding, we're seeing them everywhere this year and I don't EVER remember seeing them before! So I had to laugh at your same story. =) Do you ever bring flowers into the house, or do you leave them outside?

  10. Hi Tammy! Defintely that flowers make our life somuch happier and more colourful!
Just yesterday when me and husband were walking in the evening, I saw exactly the same tree which you called Golden rain, and pointed out to my D to beautiful blossoms which were about to open. We have many of them in the gardens here too. As well as many of the flowers you showed in your pictures, like bougainvillea.
    Have a beautiful day! Hugs!

  11. Pretty flowers.
Interesting to see the frangipanis there as a lady was walking at the beach today with one in her hair. Our weather has been unseasonably warm, more like spring than autumn so there are lots of flowers still around. I took photos of the neighbours roses last week and there are more blooming today.
Hope you're having a lovely week.

  13. Dearest Tammy,
Ah, you showed me something that we in The Netherlands are very familiar with; The Golden Rain or Gouden Regen: Laburnum anagyroides or Golden Rain ←click on it.
It is indeed a member of the leguminosae or pea family and very gorgeous looking but POISONOUS!
But you enjoy its show of abundant flowers.
LOVE all your quotes and yes, even if they bloom but a mere week or so, their beauty remains for the rest of the year and that is a very positive vibe!
When we are outdoors it does calm us and brings us back to the little wonders of life without being drowned by all the negative. People should all step outside more.
    Sending you hugs,
    Mairette

  17. beautiful post! and I so agree-too many of us are just too negative-always better to turn it into a positive-which was actually drummed into me when I was a telephone operator-due to allot of negative customers-they trained us to come back with a smile and a positive.
    have a beautiful day
