Stash Busting Sunday: Dishcloths and Daisy Wheels

When Leslie and I attended the International Crochet Day gathering at the Sadu House on Thursday, I needed something simple to work on, so of course, chose a dishcloth.
Since I was on a roll, I made a bunch more over the weekend.
A simple pattern - 23 chains, sc in the 2nd chain from hook, then dc, sc, dc, sc ... all the way across ending with a sc, ch 1, turn and do a dc in the previous sc and a sc in the previous dc, across.  Back and forth until you get a square.  The border is sc around with 3 scs in each corner.
My favorite part is seeing them folded and stacked.
Just to switch things up, I made some daisy wheel dishcloths, too.
One of them is still a work in progress.
All the September stash busting projects can be found at Linda's Crafty Corner.
Wishing you a peaceful Sunday.

  2. Great job. Do you use cotton only for those? That is what I usually do since the cotton cleans up better. Gonna do some for a upcoming bridal shower to match her cookery.

  4. I love the little stack of crocheted dishcloths too. So cheery and colorful. I've heard they make great dishclothes too. My friend crochets little round scratch pads out of netting. I love those too.

  16. Love your dishcloths and they're so pretty stacked up. The daisy wheel is a pretty pattern - could be left on the counter and be mistaken for doilies.

  22. Cheery dishcloths, all stacked together and happy. Your post made me smile. I've been asked to knit 20 dishcloths for a lady at my Dr. Office. This is in the midst of my mitten project. Oh my!

  24. I can't get over all you make!!

We're so different - I don't make anything, but I do create in other ways. I put out my Autumn seasonal decor on Friday night and that's always fun to arrange, because I'm pretty picky about how it all looks. Our weekend was spent traveling, as are most.

    Have a nice new week,
    Linda
