I Can't Believe

I completely forgot about this.
On Saturday, I met friends for lunch at my favorite Italian restaurant, Viaggio.  We ordered and shared rocca salad with parmesan and sundried tomatoes; caesar salad; fettucini with shrimp; penne with salmon; ravioli stuffed with ricotta; saffron risotto;  and tiramisu for dessert.  Everything was delicious!
Oddly enough, I took pictures of all the food, but none of the friends.  Oops!

Melissa gave each of us homemade cake pops and I just remembered I had them in my purse.
So now I am enjoying them with a cup of tea.

There was no walking this morning. Skies are completely white which means a sandstorm is brewing.
Instead, there was a whole lot of cleaning going on.  Boo!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

  1. the food looks delicious. I hate to clean house now. I used to love it before I had kids but now I have other things I want to do with my time. Luckily, I love a clean house so I still clean it...albeit begrudgingly!
    Have a great day today!

  2. Thanks for dropping by! After weeks of rain we have at last got some sunshine! I wouldn't want the heat you get out there though...and neither would Bella.
    Enjoy your day. :0)

  8. Hi deareest Tammy, the cake pops look delicious, and I think it was nice to find them after having them forgotten (I think it's like finding money in the coat or in the handbag you wore one year ago ;o)) And the food of the Italian restaurant looks very yummy, too!!! Oh no, a sandstorm once again... pffft!.........................

Thank you so much for your nice mail! I can well understand that you are looking forward to the climate in Sri Lanka! Did I tell you that we had to delay our holidays in Sri Lanka for various reasons? We will instead leave to the United States (California, Utah, Arizona ...) this year in late fall... and are looking forward to this journey! :o)
Sending soft hugs to you, Traude

  19. I always love your tea posts. They are so entertaining and make me realize how much I love living the life of a vegetarian. Really lovely works of "art."

Happy Tea Tuesday. I feel for your temps. It's been hot here, too, but not THAT hot. Of course, it never cools off here at night like it does in the desert. I hope your days cool a bit as we head to summer.

  28. Oh, how I miss the Italian restaurant I used to go to up North. Here in the South there are none close to me...probably a 3 hour drive and then I'm just guessing.
My step-father was Italian and I grew up with great Italian food. I can make it myself but it's even hard to get ingredients here.
Why clean right before a sand storm? Isn't that sort of fruitless? I'd use that as an excuse NOT to clean! LOL!
