Color, Culture, Crafts

While walking the streets of Kathmandu and Pokhara, we saw so many vendors with colorful and wonderful items for sale. All of the following images make me very, very happy!

    The photos are all so colorful and happy! I love the peacock feathers! A few years ago a friend's daughter used them in her wedding table centerpieces and I still have two small feathers to enjoy.

    So nice stopping by this morning :)

    My pallet is pretty monochromatic compared to the vendor's here... ha! Love the felted items and the hats. Very very fun

    Now I would have LOVED the marketplaces, Tammy. Whenever I am in a new area, I love checking out the native crafts. The places you visited looked so very colorful and filled with wonderful things.

    Thanks for your comment on my post today. MJ's Farm is about 100 miles from where I live. I haven't been there yet, but I would LOVE to go for a visit. I wonder if they do old-fashioned "field trips". :D I love her magazine!

    A few back, a friend of mine travelled to Nepal..with a carry-on and an empty suitcase to gather lovely fabrics and quilted items..what treasures...thanks for sharing your journey with us.

    What a market!! A cornucopia of visual and I'm sure tactile delights!! I would love to see all of that!
