The Path of Gratitude

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes. ~e.e. cummings

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive. ~Eleonora Duse

To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter; to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life. ~John Burroughs

On our last day of winter break, Zack and I took a stroll around our neighborhood, intent on enjoying the moment and finding beauty in our surroundings.

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. ~John Burroughs

Our two week winter break has ended. It's back to school today. I hope everyone has a great start to their week. May it be filled with simple joys. Friendship blessings, Tammy

  2. Beautiful, Tammy, as always.

Our two week break doesn't end until Wednesday, the 5th, so Sarah and I will be enjoying (relishing even) our last 2 days. But then it will be such a short, short week and the weekend will be here, with another 3-day holiday weekend just around the corner for us. So, not bad. January will be over with before I know it. I just hope we get another good snowstorm before too long...

I also want to thank you, with all my heart, for the Christmas card. I loved the camel putting the star on the tree! Good luck at school today and all through the new week. Susan

  8. Dearest Tammy,

Wonderful post again but you MOST surprise me with Eleanore Duse's quote! We lived in the area where she's from; Asolo, Italy. We even stayed in the remodeled home of her that is a hotel now... What a surprise to find her memory here on your blog!
Have a great beginning of work; can't believe two weeks have passed that quick!
