Souk Jumaa

 First read of the year.
A book I bought while in NYC with my youngest son in March 2024.
Took it with us to Friday Market (Souk Jumaa) this morning, only for the photo opportunity.
The market is a mix of new, flea market and antique items.  We don't usually buy anything from the new section.  All of the clothes I buy now are secondhand.
We also went to the nursery for some flowers that I will pot up tomorrow.
I'm 3 for 3 so far.
3 days of walking, with 3 separate walks in the day.
And 3 days of blogging.

Have a good Friday.

  1. Wow! I'm impressed with your discipline. I have made some good progress in my health since I found out the real problem of my bladder discomfort. Thought I needed a bladder lift (surgery) but turns out by seeing a urologist, the problem is solved with a medication. I'm feeling my old self again, and will start a walking routine.
I always enjoy your pictures, and I too am trying to be a more faithful blogger.
I wear a lot of second hand clothes.

  2. Wow! The Friday market looks overwhelming. How do you find anything in there? So much stuff. I would never be able to find what I need there! lol
Three days in! Good job. I've tried blogging every day for a month once. I barely made it and sad never again. :-)
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  3. Happy New Year, Tammy! I, too finished my first read yesterday - a book my MIL borrowed from the library. It was a romance, and though I tend to gravitate to heavier topics, it was just what I needed to unwind my brain :) That market is just my cup of tea and if I could, I would have lost myself there for hours.

  5. Happy New Year Tammy. A fantastic idea to get people re-using items instead of disposing all the time. I try to avoid charity shops now my boys are no-longer children. Unless I'm looking for something specific, or something grabs my eye, I don't go looking.

  6. Your souk looks like a shopping experience I would actually enjoy :) I only realized tonight that you've started posting again, Tammy - I'm so glad!
