Rosy Pink

One skein of rosy pink cotton yarn.
It reminded me of these beautiful roses in Jerusalem.
And this lovely wall art.
Both of which just happened to be at the sports club close to the family home where we took our cousin's youngest son to play.
Something else in pink is the Mollie Makes Magazine I received yesterday from a friend, purchased on her recent trip to Dubai.
So I set about crocheting with the rosy pink yarn.
And finished a coffee coaster.
Two washcloths.
(The background is free patterned paper found in the magazine.)

And two potholders.
I used up the rosy pink yarn right up to the very end.

This one reminds me of neopolitan ice cream.
Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.
(Mollie Makes Magazine as the backdrop.)

According to Reader's Digest, pink roses signify Love, Gratitude and Appreciation.
(Photo taken in Amman, Jordan)

Thankful for all of you,

  1. Pink is the color of Love and your yarn is pretty Tammy along with what you've done with it.
I think pink roses are my favorite rose.
Our Pink Fairy bush is ready to pop now that the sun has come out after a longggg stretch of rainy days here in Wash DC area. Everything is so lush and green ♥
Thank you for popping by my Magpie's Nest.
We are excited for our son's AT adventure.

  3. That picture made me think of Neapolitan ice cream even before I read your words. It was the height of dining elegance in my childhood :)
I once made several items, including a baby sweater, with an Egyptian cotton yarn that had the same lovely sheen as your pink yarn...thanks for reminding me of a long-ago happy occasion and a friend I haven't seen in years. I think that baby is probably in high school now.

  4. How lovely, Tammy. I really like pink. I don't wear much pink clothing, but I do like to use it in my crafts. I had pink and ivory roses in my wedding bouquet but had no idea that pink roses signify love, how fitting. :) Hope you are having a good week so far.

  6. Really pretty colors and nice work. I don't like pink to wear, never have been a pastel type of girl, but I think it's pretty in decorating and in flowers of course. :)

  7. That's such a beautiful soft pink colour, in both the yarn and the roses. They remind me of my wedding bouquet, too. You are such a wonderful crocheter.

  8. Tammy, your makes with the pink yarn are lovely. I especially like the last one...using up all of the yarn to the very end. Before I even read your comment, I thought Neapolitan ice cream!!! Great minds think alike. :-). I've seen several Mollie Make magazines and one of these days may actually buy one. Gorgeous pink. I love the pink today and it made me smile.
    Blessings,

  9. That pink yarn and the pink in the roses looks like real strawberry ice cream, the kind with natural color.

  10. I really do love this pink color, Tammy, and it looks really well with the brown yarn. Great projects, I would love a little mat for my tea at night if I could manage a crochet square. I doubt it. Ha! I've heard of this magazine but it makes me more frustrated that I can't do much more than simple embroidery and even that I find so hard to fit into my time. Grrrrr...

Your fave athletes look like they are having fun!

I love your idea of a colourscheme on this blogpost.
The pink you´ve chosen is so soft and delicate.
Sometimes we need that pink in our life. A kind tone...

  18. So lovely! Pink roses are my favorite and that yarn is just yummy. I just picked up one of my long abandoned crochet projects. It's been so long since I've done any crochet and it's nice to get back to it. Fun to see all that you've been creating.

Thanks for your recent visits and comments on my blog.

    Have a wonderful week!

  19. What beautiful things you made with your skien of pink yarn. Given a choice of colors I'll most always pick pink. I really like the pot holders. I'm already thinking I might need to make one. I think I should sign my name Easily Influenced Lisa. At least when it has to do with crafts I'm easily influenced. Hope you have a nice week.

  20. Dearest Tammy,
Wow, those wash cloths and potholders could end up in a magazine; so picture perfect!
Such pieces create a lot of joy; for the maker and for the receiver - a double blessing!
    Sending you hugs and blessings,
    Mariette

  22. Isn't it just perfect when you end your project with just a teeny bit of yarn leftover! They all are so cute.

I love the soft sheen of the pink yarn.
