One skein of rosy pink cotton yarn.
It reminded me of these beautiful roses in Jerusalem.
And this lovely wall art.
Both of which just happened to be at the sports club close to the family home where we took our cousin's youngest son to play.
Something else in pink is the Mollie Makes Magazine I received yesterday from a friend, purchased on her recent trip to Dubai.
So I set about crocheting with the rosy pink yarn.
And finished a coffee coaster.
Two washcloths.

And two potholders.
I used up the rosy pink yarn right up to the very end.
This one reminds me of neopolitan ice cream.
Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.

That picture made me think of Neapolitan ice cream even before I read your words. It was the height of dining elegance in my childhood :)
ReplyDeleteI once made several items, including a baby sweater, with an Egyptian cotton yarn that had the same lovely sheen as your pink yarn...thanks for reminding me of a long-ago happy occasion and a friend I haven't seen in years. I think that baby is probably in high school now.
How lovely, Tammy. I really like pink. I don't wear much pink clothing, but I do like to use it in my crafts. I had pink and ivory roses in my wedding bouquet but had no idea that pink roses signify love, how fitting. :) Hope you are having a good week so far.

Before I even read your comment, I thought Neapolitan ice cream!!! Great minds think alike. :-). I've seen several Mollie Make magazines and one of these days may actually buy one. Gorgeous pink. ReplyDeleteI really do love this pink color, Tammy, and it looks really well with the brown yarn. Great projects, I would love a little mat for my tea at night if I could manage a crochet square. I doubt it. Ha! I've heard of this magazine but it makes me more frustrated that I can't do much more than simple embroidery and even that I find so hard to fit into my time. Grrrrr...

What beautiful things you made with your skien of pink yarn. Given a choice of colors I'll most always pick pink. I really like the pot holders. I'm already thinking I might need to make one.
