Moon Shots

Perigree Full Moon, also known as the Supermoon, as seen from Kuwait
July 22 -- the night we left for our trip to the States
Colorado, USA, August 12th (taken with iPhone)
Slidell, Louisiana
August 21st
 Amsterdam, August 24th
I wish I would have had my Canon for this picture.
The moon was a big orange ball in the sky perfectly situated over water and between two buildings.
Absolutely gorgeous but an iPhone just can't get that kind of shot.
Tonight is the Harvest Full Moon
Best wishes and blessings,

  1. I especially love the photo in Amsterdam - I think that's right, the one with the tree branches perfectly framing it. It's lovely!! Great shot!

I haven't been working too hard on moon shots anymore - takes too much set up with the cameras I have and you're right - the iPhone just doesn't cut it for closeup moon shots. :)

Hope you've had a great week,
    Linda

  2. Now I see... the moon photo I loved best is in Slidell - I label my photos differently than you, lol, so I misread.

  6. Tammy, is your son alright with all the flooding in Colorado? He must be or you wouldn't be blogging probably but I just thought if it and panicked for a minute.
Your first picture looks like a giant beach ball! You can almost see what seems like the sections of a beach ball. I have a bad camera as I cannot get any good pictures of the moon but yours are so gorgeous. I love the moon! BTW, what is he studying? Does he know what he wants to go into? TTYL!

  9. Beautiful shots of the moon Tammy. I tried to get a picture last night, but there were just enough clouds left in the sky for a haze to be around it. Not very pretty. So...I'll just enjoy yours!

    Blessings,
    Betsy

  10. You get the very best shots of the moon! Last month I set my tripod up outside and took dozen of shots of the moon using every possible setting I could think of and not one of them were worth keeping. The only thing I got was a ton of mosquito bites!

  13. Dearest Tammy,
Like Linda, I had to have a second look at the photos with title which you placed above the photos. Having published books and magazines we were taught the label or text always is being placed under each photo.
Too bad you only had the iPhone option in Amsterdam...
    Hugs to you,
    Mariette

  21. We've been admiring the bright moon this week. It's been a 'paper moon' here in early evenings, with the shade of blue in the sky matching perfectly the shade of blue in the craters, and the moon the softest glowing white ... makes the moon look as thin as tissue paper. Great shots even with the phone! (I didn't have either with me when we saw it here) Wendy x
