I like rolling my yarn into balls before starting a project.
Makes the pulling of yarn that much easier as I crochet along.
The granny squares for the baby blanket are working up really fast.
Unfortunately, the days are passing by just as quickly.
Before I know it, the day is done and there's still so much I want to do.
Hope your day is going well.
Lovey kitty! Looking very laid back! X
ReplyDeleteThe days go by way too quickly!
ReplyDeleteI love these soft gray crochet goodies. Will make a fine baby blanket.
Nice progress! Will you be using more colors, or just this wonderful blue?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how people manage to knit or crochet without the supervision of cats! :)
ReplyDeleteI know! Where does the time go? I am beat and winding down at 3:30 in the afternoon and I have gobs more to do.
ReplyDeleteYour yarn and granny squares are really nice! I love the color you chose...a baby? Where? Who? Or just to have on hand?
Is that some of the yarn Sam brought back for you? It looks really soft.
I better go try and do something. LOL!
Lovely squares & your cat is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMy days seem to fly by these days too
You've made a great start on your squares. The colour is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the days.
oh my, you are on a roll (sorry, couldn't help myself...)
ReplyDeleteThe days do seem to fly by don't they? I just spurged on some yummy yarn from Paradise fiber today. When I got home I wound it into balls and just sat and squeezed it for awhile. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your kitty. I lost mine two years ago and I'm still lost without him. Hubby says no for now though so I love to look at other people's fur babies.
Blessings,
Betsy
Dearest Tammy,
ReplyDeleteIndeed, time slips like sand between our fingers... But you are rolling along fast! Enjoy whatever you accomplish in a day. There will be another day; God willing.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Aww...kitty...lovely shade of blue for a baby blanket
ReplyDeleteGorgeous squares and the colour is so pretty. Your cat seems to be so sweet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your crochet :)
Have a fabulous week!

Hi, I"m a new reader and follower of your blog and I am really enjoying your posts!.. I make granny squares too.. they are so easy and you can really kick them out just watching tv..Right now I am just starting my first ever knit afgan. It's going well but slow. I can't wait to see it when it's done.. Your kitty is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteRobyn
Beautiful granny squares. Jingles looks right at home among the yarns and crochet. Creative Hearts are Happy Hearts...
ReplyDeleteI have a ball winder but I never use it, I like to wind my own balls of yarn. I feel like I get to know the yarn that way and there are no surprises of knots in the middle. Love your gray.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Meredith
I also love to roll my yarn into balls. I once did an afghan that had 16 tiny balls of yarn twisted here and there, while slowly making a magnificent Monarch butterfly of many colors. My kitten also loved the many balls rolling about.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your finished blanket for one lucky baby.
Blessings
both kitty and crochet look warm and cuddly! the time flies for me too!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the balls of yarn vrs leaving them as they are sold.
ReplyDeleteAhhh Jingles is just so sweet...
I can't wait to see the finished baby blanket...love the colors.
Blessings always
I'm always amazed at how much you accomplish Tammy, especially with working most of the time as well...
ReplyDeleteThe baby blanket will be so loved - dear Jingles has already given his stamp of approval I see!
hugs
Shane ♥
I always have to roll my yarn, as here it's sold in skeins :)
ReplyDeleteyour grannies are pretty and neat-y:)
your kitty is too! say hi to her from me, please.
have a lovely day, Tammy, full of accomplished things...
Love the color on your granny squares and your cat is so cute! Even though it seems like time is just flying by if you look back you will find a huge amount of accomplishments... Then it's all worth it, especially if ou are still having fun !
ReplyDeleteYour grannies are nice! Waiting to see your completed blanket!:)
ReplyDeleteDear Tammy, A lovely award for your awesome blog. Visit me at http://www.crochetkari.com/2013/02/i-am-cutie-pie.html.
ReplyDeleteLove
Hi tammy
ReplyDeleteLovely grannies. Very neat too. And Jingles' cute too. A day is what we make out of it. Catch it before it slips into another day. Great to see you spend your day fruitfully.
Have a great day
Aishwarya
Love the shade of grey for the blanket!
ReplyDeleteI think you surely must crochet as fast as you type! :O Wow!
ReplyDeleteI'm not nearly as busy with my hands as you. My evenings, in contrast, involve cooking dinner, laundry, cleaning up dinner, plopping down to watch a little tv before climbing into bed. Exciting, I know. :)
We are enjoying some nice days this week though - upper 30s for temps and a little sunshine and I did a 3 1/2 mile walk yesterday on my lunch at work and will do that again today. Only the wind is cold, but I always wear a hat!
Happy mid-week already,
Linda
I know! I know! I never seem to have enough time to do all the things I want to do!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteYour squares are beautiful! My days are just like yours, always over before I'm done! Twyla
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE SO RIGHT.....NEVER ENOUGH HOURS IN A DAY......THEN I AM SO TIRED IN THE EVENING...I'M READY FOR BED....WHAT'S A GIRL TO DO.... :)
ReplyDeleteYOUR GRANNY SQUARES CAME OUT REALLY NICE.....THE BLANKET WILL BE SO PRETTY......RIZZI
Hi Tammy...Guess what? The days fly by on this side of the world, too.
ReplyDeleteI find that when I write down things I want to get done, they are more likely to get done.
I'll be glad when spring arrives. Susan
This is one thing I really should take the time to learn, the granny squares. I can knit but had to stop due to severe tendonitis, maybe crochet would be gentler.
ReplyDeleteAdorable cat and the squares are looking great. (love granny squares!)
ReplyDeleteYour kitty is so cute! Last night we ate dinner then I looked at the clock. I said to my husband, "Is it really 8:00 already?!" Seemed like I just got home! The nights go by too fast.
ReplyDeleteTime does fly when you are having fun doesn't it?!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that shade of blue, it's like denim!
