Five days in Sri Lanka was my birthday gift and the reason for my absence.
Whenever I travel, I completely unplug from technology.
hiking, eating,
Two of the days were spent at a bungalow with our "adopted" family.
After we had said our goodbyes on Monday, we were called back under the pretext that we had forgotten some of our belongings.
Instead, I was treated to a surprise rendition of happy birthday, cake and a group photo opportunity.
It's always so lovely to get away.
But yesterday and today it was back to school and back to reality.
Lots of catching up to do.
Hope all is well with you.
Sounds like you had a blast. :) I am so glad you had a great time. You live such an interesting life. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings always

Happy Birthday, Tammy.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun. You are so lucky that you can travel with your husband to such 'exotic' places. Whenever my husband has travelled out of the country, I've had commitments that have prevented me from tagging along. I hope that changes not that I'm retired.

ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had the chance to get away on a lovely vacation and to enjoy your Birthday, apart from technology. :) You know my thoughts on that. Since I've entirely stopped technology, except for reading your blog of course, I feel so much more refreshed and guess what - I'm re-learning crochet! We'll see if that leads anywhere, right now it's just a novelty for me.
Anyway, I'm glad you returned home safely and I enjoyed seeing your wonderful photos of the time away.
Blessings always,
Linda
I love the fact that although the scenery, wildlife, people and weather may look different - the crochet looks the same wherever you are in the world! What a lovely birthday surprise x Jane
