Thoughts for a New Month

As autumn returns to earth's northern hemisphere,
and day and night are briefly,
but perfectly,
balanced at the equinox,
may we remember anew how fragile life is ----
human life, surely,
but also the lives of all other creatures,
trees and plants,
waters and winds.
May we make wise choices in how and what we harvest,
may earth's weather turn kinder,
may there be enough food for all creatures,
may the diminishing light in our daytime skies
be met by an increasing compassion and tolerance
in our hearts.
(Kathleen Jenks  - Autumn Lore)

Wishing you a wonderful new month.

  1. Dearest Tammy,

Fall is a nice season for contemplation... We harvest and than we enjoy a season indoors, with family and friends and with our lucky pets. Yes, we ought to think about others, about the future life on our planet.
    Hugs to you,
    Mariette

  5. Amazing...we had the same full moon here last night too. You are missing one great fall here in the midwest. Weather absolutely perfect, but we still need rain bad. Glad to pop by and see you are moving past the hot summer season. Wishes and Dreams, Kate

  6. Oh I do love October. Because of all the colors, the smells, and all the things you mentioned.

Another thing I love, I have 5 family birthdays in Oct. My son, a DIL, two grandsons, and one great grandson.

And it's time for Pumpkin Bread, and Pie...Yeah!

Happy October to you and all those who are dear to you.

  14. The same beautiful full moon --- smiling down on your beautiful family --- then making its way across a continent then the sea and over another continent to to shine its face on my own family. A big, beautiful world --- and a smiling moon that shares love and peace. Blessings!
