Saturday Stitching

Several days ago, I came across Bridgette Dadoux's blog,
where she graciously shares her embroidery designs for free.
I like quick, easy patterns and she offers just that.
Yesterday I finished her tea set design.
And today started two patterns in red.
When using one thread color, I like to work the entire pattern up in one direction.
That way later on, I can finish it up by working in the other direction without having to concentrate.
I washed up more of those brown jars I save,
so will be crocheting covers for them
and adding a tiny cross-stitch design to the top.
I think it gives the jar a more finished look.
Lastly, I would like to thank Kate from Granny Taught Me to Crochet for the recent blog award.
Kate lives in the UK where she blogs about her crochet projectsreasons to be cheerful and daily life in her little corner of the world.
Thank you, Kate!
I hope you will stop by and pay her a visit.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

  2. Dearest Tammy,

Lovely rose inside the heart and very smart for working half stitches and than blindly following and finishing fast! But that only goes with one color...
    Congrats with your blog award!
About the way we dressed. Due to my study in fashion design, yes we often did dress in coordinating colors. We got quite a reputation for that worldwide! So maybe that was my fashion background showing up in our mushroom business?! You are a very keen observer; you rock.
Have a happy day girl, with love from a hot Georgia,
    Mariette

  4. Tammy, beautiful stitching. What a lovely way to spend the day. I am packing for a swim meet trip to Atlanta and trying to get everything organized before I leave. Maybe I can sit and knit later,

  9. Hi Tammy,

Loved seeing what you have worked, with the teaset and rose within the heart. That is such a great idea with working the pattern in one direction and then working back the other.
Have never thought of that, thanks for sharing.
How neat the jars are that you covered and worked.
Also enjoyed seeing all your collections of beautiful treasures, in the previous post, from your travels.

    Enjoy the weekend
    Hugs

  25. Cute tea set. You'll have to post what you do with it.
Love the little hearts on the jars as well as the crocheted covers.
I used to love cross stitch, but don't see well enough any more to count.

  26. You need to have an Etsy shop for all of your wonderful creations! I can't get over how much you produce with your handicrafts. Everything is always gorgeous.

No creating going on here in my east-central Illinois world. Instead, we spent the entire weekend pretty much goofing off. I'm looking forward to this quiet week, coming home from work in the afternoon to some "ME" time since Sarah doesn't return until the weekend.

Hope you enjoy a nice week as well,
    Linda
