Creating

If you enjoy seeing where others create, then hop right on over to My Desert Cottage where Karen Valentine is hosting the 4th annual Where Bloggers Create blog hop. I'm up to number 23 on the alphabetical list in her sidebar and there are many, many, many more to go.

I don't have a designated space for crafting. Supplies are kinda all over the place -- in every room -- from shelves to cupboards, drawers, baskets, totes, boxes.  Getting organized is on my to-do list which I haven't quite gotten to yet.
Last Saturday you would have found me crocheting pool side in Bentota, Sri Lanka.
These are the rocks I collected and crocheted while we were there.
Yesterday found me in a bit of a crafting frenzy, starting so many projects, finishing only a few.
I started a cross-stitch border for a towel.
A block design using yarn on large weave aida.
 Finished a small gift bag.
Tried out a new granny square pattern found here at Wise Craft.
And crocheted my first ever border for a towel.
Today I shall be crafting and blog hopping my way through all those creative spaces.

Have a great day!

  9. You have been busy creating and it's all lovely. If that was your craft area in the first picture it looks pretty organized to me and very cozy and "creative" looking. Mine I wouldn't take a picture of as I don't really have one except one cupboard I started organizing for it.
I can't wait to go visit all those others. I love that magazine "Where Women Create". It always has loads of inspiration and organization ideas in it. I'll never forget once, a painter used an empty dishwasher to hold her paints and canvases. The paint brushes went where the utensils were meant to go. Really amazing, talented people out there!

  21. Such beautiful things --- and so dreamy to be able to crochet, poolside, in Sri Lanka! I love the things you are crafting. I envy those who have spaces to craft --- but I think my favorite crafting places are kind of like yours ---- anywhere and everywhere. I keep baskets with my projects in them. I often stitch or crochet while riding in the car, while at the cabin, or in my comfy living room chair while resting from housework. I hope you are having a great week-end!

  24. Hi Tammy,
Thank you for stopping by. We went to Sri Lanka on our honeymoon! We had a tour around the country with a driver and a guide and it was amazing.
I tried soy/rice and almond milk and the kids drink all three of them without a problem. We also have a smoothie every day and I have started to add some "milk" each time. This Soyabella was worth every euro!
    Wishing you a wonderful Sunday.

  38. Hi Tammy!
I have a "To-do-list" here somewhere too. I just didn´t make anything about it... yet... I want to though.
To be honest your shelves on the photo looks well organized to me. I have som photos of my craftspace on my blog and I really enjoy looking at them because my room doesn´t look like that anymore. It is like a bomb detonated in there now. I afraid of going in tnere even!
Everything is in great piles and I am afraid they will tip over if I move in there...
I wish I will organize it this summer. I just have to get over my laziness first.

Hope you´ll have a fabulous week!
    :)

  45. Tammy- my girl where have I been- so sorry it's been forever since I have come by- I think my follower link must have disappeared because your posts haven't been coming in my reader. I will have to fix that!

Love those crochet rocks and I think you have the best craft space - wherever you are it's with you in a box or bag. I try and do that alot- more in the winter for some reason- I think because we are in the car more maybe.

Loved reading about your trip to the see- did you pick up that great bottle at the beach?

Well it's late friend so better head to bed- will be back to catch up on all the posts I have missed.

  47. Hi Tammy,

Thanks for your kinds comments about my creative space. I mailed an issue of Artful Blogging to you today - let's see if it makes it to you and what condition it arrives. I think the postal lady said it takes 10 days. I love your seashore treasures - sounds like a fun time (and you're right, it's not everyday you see an elephant on the beach - at least here, that is!).

    Have a great week,
    Sharon :-)
