Is It May Already?

My goodness how time is flying.  This past week has been extra busy with no fun stuff going on at all.  No crafting.  No crocheting.   I just seem to be playing catch up all the time.
Our entire week has been filled with dust, dust and more dust.  The sun is just a glowing ball in the sky, if it is  visible at all.
I did notice yesterday evening that the moon is well on its way to being full in just a few days.
Since I hadn't done any baking in a while, I decided a batch of oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and dried cranberries were in order.
A quick snack and then I'm off to bed.  Another day is done.

Hope your week is a good one.

  3. The cookies look great. I haven't baked in awhile. If I do, I'll end up eating it all, seeing as I live alone!

  4. Tammy, just how do you cope with the dust getting into your home? I find it hard enough here just keeping up with pollen and regular dust - if I had a desert nearby I think I'd be tearing my hair out.

Right now I'm trying to get some Spring cleaning done however the temp. shot up to 91 this afternoon and my energy flew out the door. Of course I have a/c but it just seems so early to have to start running it. So I drove a stack of items I was donating to the local thrift shop I like to support -the proceeds go to a spay/neuter program for kitties, and ran a few errands at the mall where I could enjoy their a/c!!!!

Cookies look fabulous - my favorite are oatmeal with nuts and fruits, not a great lover of chocolate chips but I wouldn't say no if you offered me one, LOL!

    Hugs - Mary

  10. Your cookies look so yummy, maybe I will take some time to bake tomorrow. I am enjoying a cup of tea and visiting a few blogs. Our second new granddaughter in a little over a week arrived safely this morning. Still more to do today but enjoying a little quiet time.

  11. Love the montage photo ~ really striking.

Cookies sound good right now because I'm starved. Although instead of being in the kitchen cooking, I'm here looking at blogs! Bad, me.

You need a big wind to come and scour out your dust, huh? I hope it clears soon.

Happy May. Where did April go?

  15. Hi Tammy....
Sounds like you've been very, very busy. Try to do something fun----even a few minutes----every day, just for YOU. I know what hectic schedules are like, trust me. But we need to be good to ourselves, too. Just a suggestions. Susan

  16. Beautiful shots of the moon Tammy. It will be a full moon Sunday the 6th and on the 5th the moon will be the closest that will be for a year. I'm hoping I can see it and it won't be cloudy. Blessings, Diane

  21. I don't care for all your dust but I would love your oatmeal cookies. I agree time is flying on a rocket ship these days. January and February plod along and then March picks up tempo and by April we are running just to catch up but never quite do so. I shall enjoy the full moon as I love it very much. Thinking of you Tammy and feeling blessed to be a blog friend so far away...

  22. Indeed! April seems to run away in a flash!
I hope this one would feel like a bit longer... and then HOLIDAYS!! Can't wait! I am so exhausted and so eager to have a rest I have already booked our July holiday! Hope you have an easy going May!

  25. I know what you mean. I have those kinda weeks once in a while. Well, no the dust part, but the trying to play catch up, so I have time to sew or read. But your weather did make for some great photos.
Those kinda weeks are just the excuse needed for a great treat like your cookies.

  26. I swear we are on the same path or ESP or something! I too made oatmeal cookies this week but mine didn't have any of those extra goodies in them...sounds yummy! And they look yummy too. Will you get the summer off or not? Do they follow the same calendar? It's been overcast here....looks like your "dusty" just without the dust. I love it because it's not so hot then and I can get things done outside.
I'm playing catch up again too...where does the time go?

  27. I know what you mean about trying to catch up. I don't know how Ernie and I make such a mess and how much laundry there is. I still need to plant flowers and such and the bike rides have offically began. A ride tommorrow , a memorial ride. and riding Sunday with the family. And watching Aiden from now and then, doctor appointments like 5 this month. Sadie needs a bath... the list is always growing. I don't know how you find the time to bake cookies. I see on your side bar that it is hot over there, that mixed with dust? yuck!
    ta for now, love,
    Gwen

  28. Hi Tammy,
so sorry to hear you are having dust again. it would drive me nuts to have dust all over the place day in day out but I guess you have learnt to live with that.
your cookies look delicious. Ought to try my hand at oatmeal cookies one of these days.
Hope you will have some fun time over the weekend.

  29. I know how you feel about the dust. Last year we were covered in it due to the drought. We have been getting rain now, but the temp reached 106 yesterday and the wind is hot when it blows. We catch a little dirt now and then. But we are grateful that it is not as bad as last year.
