Happy Mother's Day

Last year, I bought this Martha Stewart Living magazine and must have tucked it away but never read it.  It's actually the May 2011 edition and even has a special pull-out Mother's Day section.
So, although it was a work and school day around here, I shall sit back this evening and enjoy the magazine along with the making of more daisy wheel dishcloths and flower coasters found here.

I hope your day is beautiful!

  4. Good Morning Tammy Sweetie...
Happy Mother's Day sweet friend. I can see you have been a busy girl. I simply LOVE these little wash cloths. How fun they look and I can just imagine they brighten up the kitchen just in shape, not to mention color. Your coasters are precious as well. You are so talented sweet friend. I love it when you share.

Have a glorious evening, put those feet up and read that Martha Stewart magazine. Don't you love it when you find a little tucked treasure that we had forgotten about?

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  6. Happy Mother's Day Tammy! And what better way to celebrate than with a good magazine to inspire you and some good hooky projects! I love those flower coasters and the dishcloth too although I'd like to make some to sit under some lamps maybe or for gifts. I probably need to start making them now I'm so slow.LOL! They're all so pretty! thanks for sharing the patterns.

  8. happy Mother's Day to you. I love the coasters. A number of years ago I made a set as a shower gift for my niece. They were similar to the ones you are making. I used the very small thread and hook and it took forever. How long does it take you to make a coaster? I just love them.

  23. Hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day Tammy.

Martha Stewart - a complex but very innovative and creative woman who made a fortune off us and doesn't mind flaunting it! Her magazine is always chock full of great things............but I've read that her huge staff come up with much of the creative projects nowadays!

Whereas..........your lovely crochet doilies and coasters are old-fashioned and beautiful, a traditional craft passed down from our grandmas, right?

    Love and hugs - Mary

  25. Hello, my friend,
I am glad you had a relaxing Mother's Day looking at a wonderful magazine. I always enjoy her work. I love that moss rose peeking out at us. Your dishcloths and coasters are so nice. I ordered some cloths from etsy, but they are not nearly as pretty as yours. Have a happy week! Vicki
