Easter Blessings

I hope that you have had or are having a joyous Easter celebration with family and friends.  Easter was always a big occasion when I was growing up.  There probably weren't too many Easter holidays that I didn't spend in Mississippi at my Mammaw's house surrounded by aunts and uncles and cousins.  Easter egg hunts in the big backyard were always fun, especially when Aunt Dot would put money in the plastic eggs.  Aunt Betty's potato salad was always the best.
I learned today that one of my cousins passed away on Friday.  Robbie was only 55 years old.  May he rest in peace.

Wishing you a beautiful and blessed Easter day.

  21. Nice that you have such special memories of Easter. Most Easters were spent at home for us, with the highlight of our day being to find our basket. I remember one year that my brother spent 4 hours looking for his that was finally found in the dryer. HA!
Easter eggs here were hid under lounge chairs at the swimming pool. Not so traditional, but the kids had fun.
Funny to hear you talking about how good your aunt's potato salad was, as you make my favorite one!!

Hope you had a nice Easter!

    Love,
    Renee

  22. I'm "catching up" with your blog and I'm reading the posts backwards. Again, I am so sorry about your cousin and the disease that took him. He was young and I'm so sorry you're so far away from your family at this time. It must make it more difficult than it already is. Blessings and prayers go out to you and your family.

  23. Tammy, I'm still snooping around on your fab blog and just learned from this Easter post that you grew up in MS. I am actually from Shelby Co. TN but I went to MSCW in Columbus. It's now MUW, but I guess you know that. I used to spend Easter at my grandma's in Algoma MS some years.

Sorry about your cousin. He was young.
