Clean, Cook, Crochet

The tv room has been rearranged, curtains washed and rehung.  Weather is warming up with a high of 90 predicted for the week, and although I do still like to whip up a nice pot of soup in the evenings (last night I made chickpea, tomato and pasta soup), a hot afternoon calls for a nice, fresh, cool salad.
In between the cooking and the cleaning, I tried out a new project from Fiber Flux -- one round crocheted eggs.  I should stick with making them rather than eating the Robin's Eggs in the bowl.  (They are very addictive.)  I also finished up another Easter gift bag.
And made another coaster based also on a pattern from Fiber Flux.  She calls hers Simply Cheerful Trivets, but I didn't think mine was very cheery, so added an extra little frilly round.
Nothing much else going on around here.  It's Spring Break and I'm just happy, happy, happy to be at home.

Wishing you a great new week.

  10. You are indeed a Mega-Crafter! :) Whatever makes you happy is great.

Salad looks good. Easter bag is adorable.

We're enjoying pleasant temps here and sunny skies. Already looking forward to a 3 1/2 day weekend ahead. My sister and her family are coming down on Saturday and I'll probably make 2 separate Easter meals between Saturday-Sunday. It will be nice to have the extra day off on Monday to relax.

Hope you continue to enjoy a pleasant Spring Break.
    Linda :)

  17. Hi Tammy, I also love your crochet treasures! I think I seriously need to learn to crochet. It is so versatile! I wish we could share some of your heat. It was up in the 70's, then we had a week of cold, now it's edging back up. Flowers are coming up everywhere. I Love Spring. I also love your photos, the food looks lovely too!
    Hugs,

  26. Hi Tammy, I haven't been blogging lately, we have my daughter staying with us and my computer is in the spare bedroom which is now occupied. Anyway I've just enjoyed catching up with your blog and want to tell you that the homes magazine, 25 Beautiful Homes, is now online.I seem to remember a while ago that you commented on my blog that you used to get this magazine but no longer could. It's available on
http://www.housetohome.co.uk/living-room. Hope you enjoy browsing the online version, Kathleen.

  27. Guess who?? I am back my friend, and hope to stay for a while. Life has kept me busy here, and it is easy to let the simple pleasures get away from us. Those are the good things that make each day so nice. It is good to see that after being gone for a while, things in Kuwait have not changed. Good food, a bit of chocolate, and a lot of crocheting. How wonderful to know that the best things in life don't change!! Hope you enjoyed your week!! I made chickpea soup earlier this week and thought of you!!
    XOXOXOXO
    Renee
