Lunch and Lunar Moments

Today was a good day!

Lunch at a friend's. Comfort food -- tuna casserole and carrot salad.

And after 4 days of a slow internet connection, I am able to upload again.

Baked apples with cream, walnuts and green tea for dessert.

On the drive home, a glorious full moon hovered just above the horizon, but unfortunately my little camera could not capture its breathtaking beauty.

"When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
(Psalms 8:3-4)

I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Peace and blessings, Tammy

  1. What a wonderful lunch, mmm, haven't had carrot salad in ages - everything looks so delicious! That is a pretty moon shot, it's just hard for it to compete with the city lights. The bottom one is about as clear as you can get!

Glad you got your internet ironed out, such a relief, isn't it?

  6. Hi Tammy, Your photos look beautiful, I'm sure was an enjoyable lunch. And the moon appears beautiful, imagine light the way home. Beautiful Psalm, reminding us how great is our God! And what I think, the greater light and less to adorn the heavens for us! Greetings, Rose Marie

  12. Yummy comfort food and sharing it with your friend is the best. I adore carrot salad and make it fairly often. I swoon over the full moon and how it lights the night and turns all of nature into a magic wonderland of blue. Terrific Thursday dear...

  17. Lovely photo of the Hunter's Moon (that's the name of the October Full Moon) and I adore all of your other photos too - very warm and inviting. Just beautiful. Funny, I'm sitting here eating leftover Tuna Casserole for my breakfast (my only meal during the day) from last night's dinner. :)

I'm glad to see your blog is back up! :)

  18. Hello!

What a nice surprise today to see you'd stopped by singingwithbirds.com. I'm thinking your lunch sounds perfect to me too. Here's to more beautiful sunsets and a better connection. That is just so frustrating...but I'll look forward to keeping track of you when you can get a post up.
