Simple Pleasure

O bed! O bed! delicious bed!
That heaven upon earth to the weary head.

~Thomas Hood, Miss Kilmansegg - Her Dream

And if tonight my soul may find her peace
in sleep, and sink in good oblivion,
and in the morning wake like a new-opened flower
then I have been dipped again in God, and new-created.

  6. Oh YES, Tammy.....our beds are true simple pleasures. I think beds should be the most comfortable places possible...soft sheets, comfy mattresses, warm blankets, dreamily comfortable pillows, and they should look pretty, too. Ahhhhh, nice beds enhance our sleep and that is very important. That's a great simple pleasure, Tammy. Susan

  14. Hi Tammy, that was a darling post. Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods. Yes I had my comments off for Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. The three holiest days in the Catholic church. I did not realize I was not a follower of yours so I just popped on in there. Blessings.

  16. Love the quote and photos. Your cat looks so content. If only life were this simple. My thoughts and prayers are with those in the South that have lost so much. Checked with family in Ky and they are safe. Just lots of rain and some wind damage. Our vacation home will require some roof repair but no water damage so far.

  22. Dearest Tammy,

Guess that our cats are already living in 'heaven'... They can really claim there spots in a smart way.
Indeed we have to feel for those affected by the terrible storms in the south. Mother nature can be so cruel.

    Lots of love,

    Mariette

  23. I wish I could bring you some of the spring flowers we all all over here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and share a cafe au lait in that little restaurant that serves them in bowls you mentioned in your comment at my place.
