Too Late

I received an email from my brother last nite that my Aunt Claire had passed away. I hadn't yet gotten a package mailed off to her and now it is too late.

This picture was taken in 1970 while at a family picnic. My Aunt Dot, on the left, and from the back forward, Aunt Claire, Aunt Betty and Mammaw. They are all gone now.

Today was spent cleaning up after the storm. A layer of dust covered everything inside and both balconies have a carpet of sand. There's still much to do but it will have to wait.

Hope all is well in your corner of the world. Peace & blessings, Tammy

  7. Oh Tammy, isn't it amazing how we look at old photos and everyone in them is no longer with us? That's why I rarely, if ever, look at my 54+ photo albums! Even looking at photos of my kids as babies makes me sad. Their childhoods are gone now, too, you know? Just call me a sentimental marshmallow. :)

My dearest condolences to you over your Aunt's death. There's a lesson in that for all of us. DON'T WAIT TO DO SOMETHING NICE FOR SOMEONE ELSE. By the time we get around to it, it may, indeed, be too late.

Thanks for sharing, Tammy. Good luck with the sand clean-up. Susan

  9. My last living aunt recently died just short of her 100th b'day. What's really scary is I am now part of the "older generation". Hope you have wonderful memories of all of yours. Good luck with all your dust & sand. We're having really cold weather again. Jan

  13. I know you feel bad that the package did not get a chance to get to your aunt, but maybe you could still send it to your cousin. I love knowing that they were thinking of you recently, and I am sure she would appreciate your package right now. Hold onto the memories from that picture. Family ties are the best ones out there!!

    Thinking of you,

    Renee
