Fun Mail

Yesterday I received a box from my Aunt Elaine. She mailed it on the 3rd and I received it on the 23rd. Only 20 days! That must be a record. It's common for mail to take at least 5-7 weeks to make its way here.

The box was filled with a little bit of everything from yarn to cross-stitch patterns and supplies, Valentine cards and papers ...

to lots of pretty notecards, stickers and napkins.

This summer she sent me home with so many pretty napkins.

I used one with a butterfly design to decorate this tin can.

Tonite I think I'll start on one of the cross-stitch patterns she sent along. THANKS AUNT ELAINE FOR ALL THE GOODIES!

Hope your day is filled with sweet surprises and a bit of creativity too. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

  11. Wow, Aunt Elaine sure sent you some wonderful things! Look at all those flowers! Makes me think of Spring!
Your tin can covered with the napkin is really nice...I can see it filled with fresh daisies.
Seems that the flower theme is telling us that winter will soon be done and we can all think about flowers/bees/birds and warmth!
    Have a wonderfully sweet day,

  13. What a fun package! It was so nice of your Aunt to send such a great bunch of things. I know how I enjoy packages in the mail but waiting for weeks for them to arrive is not something I would be too good at, I guess I would have to learn to be patient. Blessings to you and your family.

  21. How wonderful that you are able to get mail at the school. In the three years I lived in Kuwait, I did not get a single piece of mail. Your Aunt Elaine is a very sweet lady, and she knows you well. Enjoy all your new supplies!!

    Love,
    Renee

  22. Since my niece is being taken care by my mom at home, there are already a number of tin cans available, which I wanted to use to organize my computer/craft/guest room. This idea with the napkins is fantastic!!! You clever girl! all I could come up with was using paint, but this is way better. I will look for nice patters on the weekend, and then I'll jump into the project. Good idea!!
    have a great day!
