Tiles on Tuesday

From the 17th century, these tiles from Iran were on display at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha.

They are earthenware, color-glazed.

I loved the colors.

And the simple designs.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Leonardo Da Vinci

Have a terrific Tuesday! Friendship Blessings, Tammy

  1. Blue and yellow together are so 'tres French'! But it seems the French didn't use them first.........these are lovely! Simple and georgeous!

Having a COLD day here in Colorado. High of 20!

  3. Once again, you made the tiles from the museum look wonderful. I would be willing to bet that the tiles were done in either Iran or Turkey, based on the use of the blue colors.
It is 20 degrees here, just like Jan in Colorado, but the 20 here feels WONDERFUL!! Going out for a walk at Aspire with the Health and Wellness group. Wish you were here to walk with us!!

    Love,

This 'Yellow Ochre' color is a very ancient color and I love it; escpecially with the blue combined.
