Tired on Tuesday

Ever have one of those days where you felt like if you closed your eyes just a little too long, you might actually fall asleep.

That's what my day has been like. I did, however, manage to finish crocheting this little Halloween pillow. Just made it up as I went along.

I gotta tell you though, my eyes are not what they used to be. Working with black yarn was not easy, especially when it came to the cross-stitching of the pumpkin. Thank goodness for borders because this one is hiding a mess.

Maybe that's why I'm tired. All that concentration. Ha! It's nearing 10 pm now and once I tidy things up, I am going to hit the hay. I'm just plum tuckered out.

Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday! Friendship Blessings, Tammy

  3. Oh the last thing I made in black was a scarf...and I swore I'd never work in that colour again....my eyes aren't what they used to be either....I hate that!

For the tags that I'm currently working on, no i did not actually make the crochet pieces, but I could have easily done so.....

thanks for stopping in...I hope you have a restful night!

  5. Yes I know exactly what you mean about some days being so tired you could almost fall asleep standing up! Maybe it's the change of the seasons but I am having a lot of those days lately!
    Very cute pillow!

  6. Tammy your pillow is so sweet. I believe you when you say that it is not easy with black yarn, because I couldn't crochet with any color of yarn. Mon tried to teach me to crochet a few times, but soon gave up. I didn't seem to have the coordination in my hands needed to do it at the age she tried. I could maybe learn at this stage in my life. But I think I shall enjoy yours for now.
    nighty-night dear one...

Thank you so much for the sweet comments, very nice of you.
I know what you mean about dark yarn. I had trouble with the Navy I used in the Bonfire blankets.
I m pleased you liked them!.

  11. You sound really tired, Tammy. Go to bed! Yes, I have days like that. As long as I keep moving I'm O.K. but if I sit down quietly for a few minutes BAM! I'm asleep! Diane

  12. It's BOOtiful! :o) I wish I was any good with needle and thread; some of those cushions would complete my decoration.
Today was one of those days that I feared I could actually fall asleep on the desk!! It was awful. Thank goodness tomorrow is a holiday here and a day off work. Looking forward to some resting...or at least to different activities other than work.

  16. Hi Tammy,
Yesterday must have been 'tired tuesday' I struggled all day. I managed to complete some work for my Christmas Fairs then snuggled into bed at 9pm with my book.
I'm bright and breezy this morning, hope you are too.
    Such a sweet little pillow!!

  21. Hi Tammy,

What a very cute pillow and yes, working with black and at night is hard to do and can play havoc with your eyes.
Hope that you manage to get some rest and have a happy Thursday

  22. How cute is that! and you just dreamed it up? You are so talented in your stitchery. 10pm is my time to finally crash. I turn into a "pumpkin" by then and as I have gotten older I find I am up at 5am each morning without an alarm, so a tiny 10min. nap around lunch usually does me good! It recharges the batteries ♥

  23. What a cute pillow, Tammy. It is good to know that you are making time to be crafty with all the things you have to do in a single day. I have been running really tired too, but I am not working like you. I don't feel like I have much of an excuse to be tired... Lately, I am in bed before 10PM. You should be assured that I am making time for the cross stitching before I sleep!!
    Sweet Dreams, dear!!

    Love,
    Renee

  24. It's beautiful! The only crochet I ever knew how to do was straight rows of solid yarn.
