Bird Watching Take II

It's another scorcher here today.

Best to stay inside and do some bird watching.

It's Jingle's favorite thing to do.

Once and only once, when she was little, she actually caught a pigeon. It was during the summer. Early one morning I let her out on the balcony, left the door open and went back to bed. When I woke up, I noticed there were feathers all over the kids bedroom. What I didn't notice was the bird in the middle of the hallway when I walked by. Oh man! Have you ever tried to clean up a bunch of bird feathers? She must have tossed that poor little thing around like a football.

They are way too fast for her now. But all that excitement calls for a nap. Her other favorite thing to do.

Exactly what I feel like doing right about now. Work is so busy at the end of the school year. I barely left my desk today and now I am just pooped. I think I'll go tidy up and then do some more card crafting or crocheting. Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! Best wishes, Tammy

  1. Cute pictures!
My kitty can't understand why she can't get the birds and bugs just on the other side of the door, either!

    Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  2. Hi Tammy,
I guess the best thing to do in those temparatures is to sleep, your kitty has the right idea.
    Enjoy your crafting,

  3. Oh, heavens, Tammy. That little Jingles is absolutely adorable. A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. I don't know how you stand the intense heat. My years in the southwest baked me for LIFE. I'll never complain about cold again as long as I live. Ha! Take care. Thanks for always commenting on my blog. Sincerely, Susan

  5. Oh, that Jingles! He's so 'cat-like'. Chase, hunt, catch, nap. He looks so innocent on that chair snoozing!
Hot, huh? Well, your ideas to stay inside are relaxing and artful and I'm sure you created something wonderful.
It's sunny with just a touch of chill today...but heating up for the weekend.
When is your school year done?
And I keep forgetting to tell you that I really enjoy your music selections on your blog. I kind of hang around listening!
    Happy day and stay cool,
    Jan

  10. We don't have it as hot, but it's starting to get there. It's the humidity....they always say that, that gets you though....
What a sweet cat you have. Ours isn't much for catlike behaviour....she pays no attention to what is going on outside....unless we are out there!!!
It will all be over soon and you can rest during the holidays....or can you?

  11. Crocheting ... wait two secs, I'll grab mine and be right over as long as we're inside from that heat. Jingle's a riot, tuckered out from thinking!

  14. Jingles, what a great cat name! She is just adorable. I bet she has dreams about the day she caught that bird! We have an orange cat too who bird watches through our sliding door. He has never gotten out and actually caught any though.

  20. What to do if we were cats and had nothing to do all day but look out the windows and sleep? HA! Jingles has more personality than any cat I know, even when she is just looking out the window. She would have had a ball yesterday with the young dove we found on our walk. Hope you find time for some R&R after a long day at school.

    Love,
    Renee

  22. Mateo and Lucas are only a year old, and LOVE to run out to the back patio and chase any bird that comes visit. They have cornered a little pigeon only a couple of days ago, but did nothing to it; I think it's just for the fun...or could they do something to the little feathered friends?! :-o I hope not!
    Love to see Jingles :-)

  31. Oh, how I miss those lazy days. They will be coming soon enough now that graduation is over. I would have definately freaked to find bird all over the place....ewwww! That's what cats do. The weather has been ridiculous hot and am looking forward to the coolness of NY.
Happy Crafting. I will be going out to breakfast with Karen this morning at Johnny Rockets. Hopefully the weather cooperates.
Have a lovely day. I'll call later:)
