Ramadan Begins Tomorrow

Dates are a big part of Ramadan. A friend gave these fresh dates to Sam. This date tree is just off our balcony.

  1. THOSE DATES LOOK YUMMY, WILL YOUR TREE YEILD ANY?

  2. It's not our tree, but there are trees all along the roadways and you will find the next morning that people have opened the netting that is placed around the dates to let them ripen. Lots of dates to be had right now, that's for sure.

  3. Omar loves dates and starts each Ramadan meal with dates. I don't care for them, but will take a fig anyday. Especially with peanuts!!!

  4. Dates are delicous! Especially if you had Sam's mom's tomato soup with baked sambousa and the dates to start. You would be a convert, I'm telling you! :)
