It is mind-boggling how this virus has gotten such a grip on us but we are blessed to have the vaccine. I am fully vaccinated but I still wear a mask or 2! LOL! Not many here wear masks....they are big believers in hoaxes and conspiracy theories and hate BIG government that is until a disaster hits and then they want help. I say, in for a dime, in for a dollar. There are plenty of countries where they don't care what you do....when I was in Belize years ago you could drink and drive and many other things that wouldn't be allowed here but then you couldn't get disaster relief from hurricanes or anything else and you were pretty much on your own for everything. Anyway, it's a shame that the truth has become such a liability for so many. I pray for the innocent and those who struggle so hard. It seems the poorest and the most disadvantaged always suffer the most. Stay well! www.self-sufficientsam.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18065860466566055543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8263927360240129050.post-47625819068078377202021-05-22T22:38:43.316+03:002021-05-22T22:38:43.316+03:00I viewed Teresa's memorial video this morning....I viewed Teresa's memorial video this morning. It tears at the heart strings but it is certainly a brave and beautiful tribute.

Loss of friends, neighbours and in some cases family members due to Covid seems to be part of our day-to-day which makes me wonder just how much more we can endure! So much sadness! It certainly doesn't help when on top of this certain people believe themselves to be above all the caution and restrictions to keep us safe and those also who see this as some sort of plot to curtail freedom.

Sincerely sorry for your loss.

Many thanks for your email replies to my comments here. It might be too often politically labeled with Corona, but still, a death is a death.
Your Plumeria is stunning; enjoy it and yes, blossoms do give HOPE.
Hugs,
MarietteMariette VandenMunckhof-Vedderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16877699174880945452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8263927360240129050.post-63448631978981000672021-05-22T18:30:25.394+03:002021-05-22T18:30:25.394+03:00Sorry it has been a heavy time for you. I hope my plumeria will look like this in another few months!
(I know it is not everyone's way but for me, I look up facts to make Covid less scary; 37% of the people who get Cancer will die of it while only 1.2% of the people who get Covid die. Of course, if you are one of the 1% it's awful and a loved one dead is a very heavy grief no matter the cause. It just removes the fear of Covid from my mind while I still act wisely for my health.) If I just caused you grief by saying this, I'm very sorry--it is not my intention--I'm only sharing my way of coping with the situation.Delighted Handshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289187765260532813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8263927360240129050.post-66105034430907228762021-05-22T12:21:19.521+03:002021-05-22T12:21:19.521+03:00So much death around us just now it just breaks my...So much death around us just now it just breaks my heart. I think we all know someone who has died because of this awful virus. I'm off to look at that video Betsy has mentioned. All we can hope for now is some wisdom from the ashes. Our family has too, but not all with Covid. I wanted you to know that Teresa's family put a u-tube video up with lots of photos of her. Just put Teresa Kasner in the search area on u-tube and it will show up. I think it will be good for you to see it. Dennis and I were surprised to see ourselves in a few of the photos. We sure enjoyed our time with Dayle and Teresa and will miss our visits together.
Take care my dear friend. Be careful and watch where you go and what you touch and breathe. Sounds like I'm crazy, but it's true.
Blessings and big hugs,
BetsyBetsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00807691752817225336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8263927360240129050.post-44042426752545066812021-05-22T04:16:13.214+03:002021-05-22T04:16:13.214+03:00I agree that the world is doing too much too soon....I agree that the world is doing too much too soon. Our area will no longer require any masks or anything else after June 2. We still have 3-5 new cases every day in our small area. And I think I am noticing that more people are being hospitalized. My best friend's nephew tested positive and within 7 days was admitted to a hospital, put on oxygen, moved to a larger hospital, put on a vent and then died. He had just turned 40. It is very scary.
