The Color of Cheer

Today was all about the color yellow.
Always easy to find in our surroundings.
We find from experience that yellow excites a warm and agreeable impression … The eye is gladdened, the heart expanded and cheered, a glow seems at once to breathe toward us.
(Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe)

Can you spot what's in the next photo waiting to ambush unsuspecting insects?
It's a crab spider.
Over several days, they are able to take on the color of the flower so that they blend in.

It sure worked because I didn't notice it was there until I got home and looked at the pictures up close.

Happy Monday.

  2. Dearest Tammy,
This post made me smile as I'm a bit past bedtime but I wanted so badly to catch up.
So I was happy that I saw this post as yellow is one of my favorite colors.
Wore a yellow set yesterday, different shades of yellow. A silk etched blouse with orange yellow roses over a knitted lighter yellow skirt with a yellow jacket over it.
When we went after Mass and singing in the chorus with orchestra, for Easter dinner at a friend's home I left the jacket off.
Oh and with yellow short heeled pumps...🤗
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  3. Beautiful yellow items, and the marker works! Whoo-hoo! That spider is freaky looking. I must admit, I don't like spiders. And one that changes colors to blend in is even scarier. :-)
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  8. Yellow has been one of my favorites since I was a little girl and called it "lellow." Love all the blooms -- they ARE so happy. And even better finding the marker! What a lovely post!
