Crafting at Costa

It's been a month and a half since my last meet-up with Kuwait Crafters.
This morning we had 9 crocheters and 1 stitcher show up for crafting at Costa Coffee.
Two young ladies have been taught to crochet by their mom.  200 feathers are being made for a December wedding.  She also plans to teach them cross-stitch to keep them busy over the hot summer.
Carol Ann is from Texas and a member of the Embroidery Guild.  She's currently working on a challenge project and has made use of some amazing stitches that I've never seen before.
Baby blankets in progress.

Enjoy your day!

  6. I've been away from the blogosphere for some weeks but what a lovely gathering to return to!

That Texas embroidery is amazing! Is that crocheted fabric underneath? I would love to see that work more closely and learn more about it. I'm fascinated.

The apple coasters were cute too! Lots of lovely work by your group. Thanks for regularly sharing your activities - spreading the enjoyment!

Hope you are well and happy. xx

  7. Oh my! All of those lovely crafts. I looked over each and every one and I just can't find a favorite. They are all so unique, I'm guessing as unique as their crafters.
Thank you for sharing with us and I'm so happy you got to meet up with them all once again.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  8. It looks like a great group, Tammy. How often do you meet? Have you formed any friendships that go outside of the group? I'm not very good with that, but I'm also shy in groups. I need to put myself out there!

Hope you are having a good summer! :)

  18. Tammy - what a terrific turnout you have! I must admit to being a bit jealous - my crafting group has not really gained momentum, and I am almost ready to give up. I suppose I can just drink the coffee and eat the cake if no one else shows up! Can you tell us any more about the feather project? Is this a tradition associated with weddings?

  21. This is such a fun thing to do, Tammy, I wish there was a crafting group around here I could join. I love all the makes but I'm especially interested in the crochet feathers. I would love to learn how to make them, though they look a bit tricky :-)
