Stashbusting Cowls

I am happy to report that I've actually, finally done some stashbusting.
No clue where I got the yarns or how long I've had them.
These are my first ever cowls.  The pattern is an easy one from Fiber Flux called the Caterina Cowl.  They look nice on.  Not bulky, with just enough drape.

I tried to make one from this ribbon yarn but it was way too thick so it became a little bowl instead.

Our weather took a turn for the worse and we woke up to high winds and dust today.

Really very blah!

    Really satisfying to stashbust, isn't it? I've been enjoying doing the "random rummage" through stash lately. And when you end up with a cute, useful item...bonus!
    I hope your dust and wind blows right on through, leaving you with more blue sky days for your walks :)

    Those are all beautiful.

    Our weather was fantastic today until just the past 1/2 hour when it's turned cloudy. We got up to a high of 60 which is very warm to us considering it's February in Illinois. I was barefoot out in the backyard grass (snow is mostly melted now except for the shady places). We have to take advantage of these days here since they are rare in the middle of winter.

    Pretty, pretty cowls and the bowl is really nice too. I love all of the colors.
    We have temps in the 60's which is really, really nice for February. I wish it meant that spring was truly here. I'm sorry about your weather.

    Congrats on your first cowls! How fun! And, they look great! The little bowl is cute! I love the idea of putting ribbon yarn in a crochet bowl. I have several skeins of ribbon yarn and have been having a hard time figuring out what to do with it. Hmmmm?! :-)

    As for our weather, we did have a lovely sunny and warm 69°F Sunday and we took a lovely walk together. Much needed to unwind.

    Oh, this is a great small bowl. If I knit, I would immediately make one for Easter eggs. And whether it is possible to do so small that it can serve as a basket for an egg?

    Beautiful cowl and very pretty colors. I am so chilly right now siting by my computer and often times I wear a scarf or cowl in the house. I am always cold!
